singing way high notes almost singing out of the back of your throat instead of out of your chest. are you familiar with Beach Boys stuff? Brian Wilson sings a lot of falsetto.
Perhaps that is why he is no longer with the band...or at least a factor. Who knows. Matt Sharp (the orginal bassist) is best known for his exceptional fallsetto abilities. That's probably one element of Weezer that hasn't been easy to replace, or replicate since Sharp's absense.
the intro riff, rivers even said that the pixies were what he was listening to around the time of the blue album. i'm a huge weezer fan, so i'm just pointing out what i noticed.
i'de so whear what he's wearing and even i would rock it. lol

thats what you get when you use line 6 pods directly instead of real amps.

I think the tone sounds like a limp dick, personally. Compared to the crunch of the blue album at least.

That crunch tone is just so fucking nice and warm

Mikey definitely needs to shut up in this. He sounds really pathetic. Matt Sharp must cringe if he watches this.

He sounds ok. but yeah Matt was better.

The bassists falsetto is possibly the most pathetic thing i've ever heard. I sincerely hope he reads this.

Actually, it's his mental stability that's the only reason he's not with the band.

When Rivers sings this, I wonder if he ever goes, "Shit. Remember when I used to write songs like this?"

Agreed.
I miss "vintage" Weezer and Rivers with no ridiculous moustache.
Haha!

Karl said when River's writes, his past songs have no bearing and he writes "in the moment"

If anything, the song's verses remind me of the Pixies' "Hey."
