  • hey mike,your bench press is extremely impressive (obviously),im 17 and i weigh 170 lb my one rep max on the bench is only 300lbbut i can squat 450 lb as my one rep max, do you think im potentially a teenager squatting powerlifter?

  • damn that was nice bro, I was bout to ask what you can bench of free weights but I just looked and saw ya already answered it. The most I ever did on a Hammer machine was 3 plates with a lil assist. Mine was one of the bench machines you sit upright on though. I weighed around 147 at the time, but I stopped strength training until I turn 18. Just keepin reps between 8-12 and buildin muscle for now.

  • squat is 445, the best supplements for bulk would be a regular mutli vitamin, creatine, and protein powders...no matter what supplements you take..u still wont get results without proper nutrition and training though

  • the supplements dont make u strong or big..its the way u train and ur nutrition..supplements can diffinretly help ur pperformance and thats about it..i use whey protein powders and mult vitamin along with pre workout product like superpump

  • thanks.. high protein, and medium amourn of carbs..nothing too special..but i do a combination of strength and bodybuilding workouts for lean mass gains and strength

  • Here is some advice for people who are new to bench pressing. First of all always warm up. Secondly once you're warmed up don't add too much weight to the bar. You won't be able to lift 500 pounds immediately it takes a lot of time don't rush it because that can lead to serious permanent injuries remember these words and you'll be good to go

  • Lifting hard, consistently, getting proper rest, and proper nutrition.

    He may have taken some substances to help, maybe not, but its all hard work, theres no shortcuts.

  • yes..train hard..but train smart..learn as u go..warm up properly...rest enough, and eat for performance..dont take the easy way out and be like most idiots who uses all sorts of drugs at a young age just because they dont know how to train and dont believe they can make results without drugs anyways hope this helps

  • thank you but i wanna get a 300lbs bench press and im at 260lbs i have 9 more weeks untill the next maxout i eat right and i work very very hard in the weight room and im one of the strongest person on the football team i need some type of plan or something (NOT DRUGS) but something to help me get as strong as you what u just told me is good but anything else?

  • dont keep bencing heavy every time..mix up the reps..have a lighter day with 6-8 reps instead of maxing out..,maxing out puts alot of stress on the nervous system and they dont recover as quickly..which can lead to strength plateau...by mixing up the program..u can come back to heavey agian the following week and be stronger..also..work on ur other muscles such as triceps and shoulders to help with the bench..and yes..dont do drugs haha

  • yes u can start lifting, just be careful...dont rush to lift heavy all the time..ur strong for ur age now..so with time...ull be stronger..just lift smart and hard...not hard and stupid like alot of young guys do lol

  • ur definitely right, u can load alot more weight on machine than barbell..which is why its labeled 560 lbs hammer strength press instead of barbell press..my raw press is 425 lbs for 1 rep
