the problem fans seem to have with FF is that many of them can't seem to piece together that they're all different from one another...They're trying to make a new game with new improvements...yet those fans expect the game to perfectly resemble their fav final fantasy games from year and years ago like 7,10 or even 8. these fans are the people who would complain still even if the game was up to their "standards"

I didn't appreciate this song until I finished the game, when it's played it made me realise how much more emotional things were with suitable music playing.
That was my only complaint with the game, I couldn't understand how in dramatic situations they would have really cheesy music playing. For example, Sazh talking about his troubles whilst upbeat harmonica music is in the background.

Until you actually play the game and understand the whole story of the game, then maybe you can criticise the song for not fitting in with everything. It's not as if the song is going to change the gameplay anyway, and i doubt the song well even be played whilst in-game.
Maybe there's a scene somewhere in the game where the song will kick in and fit perfectly, similar to Aeris in FF7 when she gets killed. Could be something like that! I hope anyway! I haven't been so anxious to play a game like this since FF7 came out lol.

this song just doesnt go with the game, its not even an original track like all the previous ones. the original japanese track isnt any good either but i think this 1 is probs the better of the 2.
You can tell that the usual FF composer isnt involved in this game from the theme songs being used but i still think the game will be good and the music used will fit in well (as always), but hopefully FF14 will see a return to the more original music wer used to hearing in the series.
The producer said that this song will coincide with a "certain scene" in the game. So you'll just have to wait and see the scene to decide whether or not the music fits.

Well, I was never a big fan of all the FF games as some were less good than others, but wth? The music always fits (well, at least with my faves)!

Love the song, don't see why everyone's making such a big deal, from what i saw and heard the song fits pretty well with the game : /
Until you actually play the game and understand the whole story of the game, then maybe you can criticise the song for not fitting in with everything. It's not as if the song is going to change the gameplay anyway, and i doubt the song well even be played whilst in-game.

Maybe there's a scene somewhere in the game where the song will kick in and fit perfectly, similar to Aeris in FF7 when she gets killed. Could be something like that! I hope anyway! I haven't been so anxious to play a game like this since FF7 came out lol.

I haven't played a FF game since FF 9 and that was the only 1 I played. But the graphics and hype of this game are persuading me that much more to buy it. =P Plus the fact that Leona sings the main song but thats a small bit. xD

this song just doesnt go with the game, its not even an original track like all the previous ones. the original japanese track isnt any good either but i think this 1 is probs the better of the 2.
You can tell that the usual FF composer isnt involved in this game from the theme songs being used but i still think the game will be good and the music used will fit in well (as always), but hopefully FF14 will see a return to the more original music wer used to hearing in the series.

The producer said that this song will coincide with a "certain scene" in the game. So you'll just have to wait and see the scene to decide whether or not the music fits.

not females, casual gamers. this is the age where in most kids grow up playing m rated games like halo and gears and killzone etc. so as far as the market is going, thats where they want to focus on. trying to get those players to stop playing those games and start playing something that is non-violent-ish.
as far as the song goes, it makes final fantasy feel like a disney cartoon. and also that god aweful part in 2:36 and beyond that is just appalling. its bad choice of a song but no choice.

dont jump into that conclusion still, since when did final fantasy target one type of audience. its just up to the people to be interested. why if final fantasy iv had a female character then its centered only to female gamers? i dont think so. ffx2 had 3 female characters, do you think they did only to target the female audience again? i dont think so. so before you go that conclusion, just let you know. just because there is female protagonist doesnt mean its a girl's game, its for everyone.

I don't see how the game is marketed more towards females than guys. Sure the main character is female, but she's not girly or weak. She's mysterious and strong. This game is packed with so many sci-fi elements--what's a male gamer not to like?
Besides, I thought guys loved playing female characters?
