I incorporate some of the mixes if not all in my sets and then I mix out, in most cases to another song. They are a good way to transition songs, the way they make them with the lead. With the lead and exit... I can beat mix all day long with one smooth transition. Best part of all... if you actually use them with your sets... and while your up there.. act like your putting the mix together for them... you just hiked up the crowds energy level another 10 notches.
I did play that motown mix at a gig this past summer down in atlantic city. It was a last minute booking on a weeknight for a convention down there. It was when that one first came out so I threw it on and the crowd loved it.
I played that one for the Christmas Festival video.. check out those videos and you'll here it.. the King of Pop mix went over well... I play that mix all during Halloween and my October shows. Has a good mix of MJ songs on it.
I recognized the mix that your were playing on one of the latest essential x-mix cds. Spin Me Right Round with vocal track of Right Round by Flo Rida would be playing next.
I see you either have the same mix or have x-mix cds. I'm sure you like your subscripton of what ever you have. Setup once again looks neat and clean.
attn: mobile dj, we are currently looking for mobile djs to play in the halftime show in professional baskettball games.

Those mixes are great for rest room breaks and at the end of the night while I'm starting to tear down but the guests are still dancing.
