While I know this is based on the comic book character created in 1974 I think everyone should read Robert E. Howard's story "The Shadow of the Vulture" which introduced Red Sonya of Rogatino (which was created in 1934 and inspired the Red Sonja comic character).

Awesome video!! Ive loved Conan & Red Sonja since childhood. I love that she wears the Red Sonja style chainmail outfit, also the blade she wields reminds me of the Atlantean sword. Im reading Red Sonja: She Devil with a Sword #12 right now, look at the cover, McGowan can pull it off and Robert Rodriguez has not let me down yet. I had doubts when Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Iron Man and the great Heath Ledger as Joker, I ate those words. Looking forward to this film.

She`s too short, Sonja is a 6' barbarian, who`s story starts when she is a teen. McGowan is not a natural redhead, nor does she have an accent and is in her 30s. The first Red Sonja film, the actress was 6', had a real rough accent and natural auburn hair, was 19. This movie will be well scripted, well directed with beautiful cinematography and I`m sure even a fitting music score...but Rose McGowan, as hot as she is no Red Sonja.
