You are not even giving a chance while only seeing videos of the game. I just love all MGS parts and i can't wait for this one. Be a good boy/girl and buy it for the sake of MGS 5!
the diff. between both trailers is the 1st shows off precision cut over regular gameplay, the 2nd does the opposite but still shows precision cutting, which seems faster, people gotta understand that the game is tryin to provide lightning bolt action, which is fast gameplay

Hmm :/ for me MGS 3 snake eater was the best, the whole survival, healing wounds, eating animals and using camouflage. Sons of the patriots just didn't feel the same when I had a go at it.
And now this looks like a hack and slasher with a lot from the past games streamlined..
It looks really cool don't get me wrong, but I wonder if it will be as good as the others.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the action animation, it's quite 1 > 2 > 3 there's little flow there like there was in the 2009 trailer, but still I'm glad we're getting the game nonetheless =)

This game doesn't resemble the Metal Gear series whatsoever, and totally goes against the stealth gameplay precedent that the series has set...but it still looks like a ton of fun!

Why are there so many people bitchin about this game? If you dont like it the go back to your CoD's, Battlefields and Skyrims and GTFO. I actually like the fact that Platinum Games is involved with this. Im also a huge Bayonetta fanboy so im quite sure that they will make this game the best they can. @mortalcombat312 let us think of that either way, what's the big deal of having Solid in MGS5 anyway? as long as it is a prequel and takes place before MGS4 and besides, i don't want to CONCLUDE that we won't gonna see Solid as the main char anymore, even though Konami said that MGS4 is Solid's last MGS, they can easily take it back and create a new prequel game with him. the way i see it Big Boss' story is done with PW so there's no point of making prequel anymore.

The MGS series was perfect the way it was. the story was wrapped up. Snake had finally completed the goals set out 50 years before the events of MGS4. Raiden's story was done. Why tack on a shitty DMC knock-off and ruin a pure and complete series? Developers need to learn when to leave something as it is.
What happened to the sneaking around, trying not to be detected by the enemies? the dragging the tranquilized enemys out of sight and hiding them into lockers to avoid alerting the guards? I've beaten every Metal gear solid and this simply is not the MGS i know. I aint buying this garbage it looks like devil may cry or some shit.
@60zDez First of all, this isnt MGS. Its not Solid, its Rising. Then (And I had enough of explaining it) its NOT being developed by the same company. Platinum Games are the ones making it, and they make Hack & Slash games pretty good. You know that the ones making it on the start were the originals right? But then, the proyect stopped, because it was too complicated . Now, these guys took it, to FINISH IT, not to make it another MGS like it was supposed to. Save your rage for the MGS5.
@hectormagi3 They didn't "TAKE" they partnered with Kojima Kojima still owns the game and his team is supervising while PG does the coding and design and other development. However Kojima had stated at the beginning this would stay close to its roots, not go an entirely different direction than where the series began.
@s3kShUn08 The correct word should be 'Resumed', because Kojima at first dropped the proyect (Because there wasnt enough time to finish it, even after the first trailer.). So I guess they turned to PG or PG to them (idk) but thing is, they resumed the game giving it a twist of their own (H&S) which... Most fans didn't like :P

Raiden is like a tranny cyborg J-pop cirque-du-soleil ninja-gymnast.
@shadowd133 Because they are butthurt that kojima trolled them because they thought they were gonna play as Snake. Most people who played MGS2 without much prior knowledge of the series (like me) don't have a problem with him. Raiden's my favourite character, because in 2 we were both rookies, so as a first time player I identified with him. Not that Snake isn't badass too of course.
anyone notice raiden runs in the OPPOSITE direction as the train but somehow manages to stay in the same relative position as the car hes jumping to? technically it wold pass him by pr he would have to run backwards for it to work. all about the details PG :P. seriously something like this just shows PGs attention to detail in their games.

kojimas profit on this game are going to be...well...theres not. He just lost every fan of MGS with the NEW version of rising. The original concept style and story looked promising but with the partnership with Platinum games to do game design everything was dropped. I mean what did PG really use from the original concept,Characters - YES, Story - NO, Color scheme - NO, Tone and feel - NO Hell even the the Game Engine NO, only 2 things are used from the original Cutting concept & main character

@s3kShUn08 Admitting failure is the first step , the young staff couldn't make a game like that but PG could . In fact the staff loved it it was what they wanted. Also on their twitter PG stated that the cuting mechanism and many more things weren't lost they kept more then you think. They changed the settings to be able to make more things available without going non- cannon. The story is made by kojima pro so chill.And as far as i know it's not a rip off you just want it to fail.

I never said cutting mech was lost. Only 1 of a few things PG kept. Story changed influenced by PG an "Japans FCC" due to scenes of gore. @BiGdaddyM100 Just watch the entire documentary explaining the reason behind PG heading the game now, MGS directors say they had everything ready but had difficulty with the game design as a whole. Story was set, game mechanics, and style, but as time progressed and PG took over they switched from Konamis FOX engine to PG's own engine, the completely redid the story which is why it is no longer a prequel, and the color scheme/tone completely changed.
@s3kShUn08 There was no Partnership with Platinum Games. Platinum Games finished the Proyect. The Proyect couldn't be finished by Kojima, it was WAY too complicated. So PG took it, and made it a H&S. A good idea couldn't be turned down like that, so they 'had' to change some features of the original concept, leading to making it a H&S game.

we're mgs fans because we love snake. and this game.... it does injustice to our legendary hero in so many ways... just look at how raiden flips and flops, making destroying huge machines and infiltrating look so easy, where snake struggled so hard to do the same. and the cardboard box scene? totally wrong... it's like they're portraying snake's box-stealth methods to be cowardly. if we were true snake fans, therefore true mgs and kojima fans we would most definitely be against this.

@Stryker14X Consider this, future metal gear games will depend on this for the story, people would see raiden as their icon, then there would be no option but to employ hack ‘n slash elements in the main series,otherwise it would seem unfair to the new main character, then the whole series will transform. it's hard to compare a completly non finished game where we seen only two videos to somehing that is still in development. I feel very positive about this Platinum is the best regarding action games. they are exagerated but that is only added style.

This game doesn't resemble the Metal Gear series whatsoever, and totally goes against the stealth gameplay precedent that the series has set...but it still looks like a ton of fun!
People should be looking forward to this game!

The MGS series was perfect the way it was. the story was wrapped up. Snake had finally completed the goals set out 50 years before the events of MGS4. Raiden's story was done. @60zDez First of all, this isnt MGS. Its not Solid, its Rising. Then (And I had enough of explaining it) its NOT being developed by the same company. Platinum Games are the ones making it, and they make Hack & Slash games pretty good. You know that the ones making it on the start were the originals right? But then, the proyect stopped, because it was too complicated . Now, these guys took it, to FINISH IT, not to make it another MGS like it was supposed to. Save your rage for the MGS5.

However Kojima had stated at the beginning this would stay close to its roots, not go an entirely different direction than where the series began.

So I guess they turned to PG or PG to them (idk) but thing is, they resumed the game giving it a twist of their own (H&S) which... Most fans didn't like :P

@s3kShUn08 Admitting failure is the first step , the young staff couldn't make a game like that but PG could . In fact the staff loved it it was what they wanted. Also on their twitter PG stated that the cuting mechanism and many more things weren't lost they kept more then you think. They changed the settings to be able to make more things available without going non- cannon. The story is made by kojima pro so chill.And as far as i know it's not a rip off you just want it to fail.

@BiGdaddyM100 Just watch the entire documentary explaining the reason behind PG heading the game now, MGS directors say they had everything ready but had difficulty with the game design as a whole. Story was set, game mechanics, and style, but as time progressed and PG took over they switched from Konamis FOX engine to PG's own engine, the completely redid the story which is why it is no longer a prequel, and the color scheme/tone completely changed.

A good idea couldn't be turned down like that, so they 'had' to change some features of the original concept, leading to making it a H&S game.

we're mgs fans because we love snake. and this game.... it does injustice to our legendary hero in so many ways... just look at how raiden flips and flops, making destroying huge machines and infiltrating look so easy, where snake struggled so hard to do the same. and the cardboard box scene? totally wrong... it's like they're portraying snake's box-stealth methods to be cowardly. if we were true snake fans, therefore true mgs and kojima fans we would most definitely be against this.

it's hard to compare a completly non finished game where we seen only two videos to somehing that is still in development. I feel very positive about this Platinum is the best regarding action games. they are exagerated but that is only added style.

@1r0zz but like i said the real product isnt out yet so.. i wont say anything else about it until it does.. and i dont know if you know this but dragon ball and naruto are one of the most high rated anime series out there, i never said thats the only anime i watch..
