@glen58316, Because you didn't invent it years ago. It's your fault. Sheesh, why didn't they have iPods years ago? It would have saved a lot of vinyl. Why didn't your dad wear a condom? Would have saved the human race a lot of frustration.
There is probably safety concerns with the spokes coming away/breaking at high speeds. Still, a 30 year development period (since 95 + 15) seems a very long time to get this on the market! Also, will it be cost effective? As a straightforward tire replacement probably not given the extra manufacting involved.
did the old guy say shock absorption is better compared to a normal tyre......will not the air in a pneumatic tyre deform more and absorb shock rather than the flexible spokes of the tweel??

police barely use spike traps anymore, now if the chase is worth the resources, they use a "sticky net" that wraps around the wheel and jams the axel.

Just put new tires on the car. That's about 3 years before I might be interested. Till then,

"looking AT things like this." You forgot to add "at" in your sentence. Young children look at spelling and grammar in the comments.

Cabn12, It sure will be easy to install chains though, won't it?
Cogman43 4 years ago
What happens in the winter when snow gets packed into the spokes? As it is right now there having problems with vibration over 50MPH.
cabn12 4 years ago
They said the tire "could replace the existing tire in 10 to 15 years". I'm guessing they will have those items hammered out in that time.
VMRiewer 3 years ago
you could always put on some snow tires.
travisridinger 3 years ago
u can cover the sides of the wheel, so no snow can get in, it doesn't have to be air tight, it doesn't matter

Thanks. I read about this a year ago, but it's nice to see it in action. Good-bye flat tires.
