my brother and i just shared a 'lol' about your guy's name "Proclivity" we dictionaried it.. because we werent sure what it meant exactly but we figured it didnt make any sense for a name for a hero.. and what do you know.. it made no fucking sense.
"natural or habitual inclination or tendency; propensity; predisposition: a proclivity to meticulousness."
As i said, "Fire classes" doesn't exist (thats not completely thrue, but most people mixes some abilitys into their builds), but theoreticly you could, it would just be pretty damn expensive.
And yes costumes ARE respecable, infact you can change them all the time. Go to the tailor and whipe out the whole costume or change one minor detail, thats up to you :D
I'll tell you this before anyone else does it :D. What this game does is providing you the tools to making the hero you want. You can pick powers from all powersets. With that said its logical that the MMORPG word class doesn't exist in this game. Also yes there IS respecc posibilitys ingame, its pretty high costing and you need to take ability away all the time, the longer you go down more does it cost.

can you gives the heroes different costumes. such as a hero costume and a secret identity you can change into whenever you want?

yes, you get an additional costume slot by joining a Super Group and one for dinging lvl 15. Later on you'll get more.
