There was a news article on the event and photos were taken. One measured 11 feet. They didn't look anything like Patterson's "sasquatch" at all.

It was palentologist who say that that is the only possiblity they can think of, because you can tell where and which tribe made it by how it was made and what type of wood it is. The creature depicted is 8 ft tall (compared to the human next to it) walks on 2 feet, & has hair. Native tribes usually call it "hairy man" or "wild man".

The "boobs" that you see in the Patterson footage are said to actually be a baby Sasquatch clinging to it's mother's chest. Similar to the behavior of known primates.
