Can you imagine if that motorcycle coming from the left would have been a fast motorcycle or got on the throttle ? It would have been all over for him. Shows you should look left and right before going at the green.

i was reading a thing about red light cameras making more accidents then they stopped b/c people would panic stop and get rear ended lol and that they where costing the police to much b/c they where not getting any one running red lights like they use to so they lost funding and couldn't afford to pay to run the cameras lol

they make redlight camera spray! but its better to get red spraypaint and spray the cameras lens it works muck better! :) also remove your old plates before you sell your car!

In Texas, the plates stay with the car when you sell it. It's the only state I've lived in where it's like that. The new owner is supposed to re-register within 30 days. Hmmmph!

Yes. Luckily, I knew the person to whom I sold the car (wife of a coworker). Standard bill of sale form for a car doesn't include address information, but I was asked to provide that. She has since paid the fine and re-registered the car in her own name. Moral of the story: know who has your plates.

Yep. As I mentioned in the description, I sent in a form telling who the new owner is. As luck would have it, it's a guy I work with, and it was his ex-wife driving the car.

yeah... cause... if you couldnt stop when the light changed was because or you didnt want to (you passesd in red) or you where going to fast to stop (so you where speeding)on the video it looks like the car is going under the limit... but thats how youre charged.

That's the way it works in Texas - the license plate is tied to the vehicle, not the owner. It wasn't very difficult - I sent in their form and marked "This vehicle has been sold" and included a copy of the bill of sale.

The same thing happened with my roommate. He sold his car last February and a week ago, he got a ticket in the mail. Apparently, the person who bought his car still hasn't gotten the car registered in their name. Texas needs to change. If I sell my car, I'm going to try to keep my plates (like people do in every other state in this country)...

I don't know what your problem is. The motorcycle was waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn left. He didn't do anything wrong. In fact, he was pretty smart to watch traffic and wait so he didn't get clobbered by the red light runner.

I sold a car more than a year go and the same thing happened to me.  The problem seems to be that their isn't sufficient re-registration guidelines. My vehicle was even traded into a name brand dealer

I didn't drive the car for a couple years, it sat in my driveway on a battery trickle charger. The registration and safety inspection expired. So before I sold it, I got an inspection and paid up the registration.

Registration is just property taxes on a vehicle. If the new owner immediately registers in their own name, that's double taxation.
