Carla, tell them to upgrade you to the "George Bush suite at the Venetian side..it's 8,600 square foot with 37 flatscreens and an infinity pool. I was there four nights....talk about Pretty Woman..I felt like the best hooker in town!!! LOVED IT!

We stayed in the Fortuna suite for a week in august.. It was beautiful and big!! It was worth every penny we paid for it.

The best way to try and get a upgrade is hand the check in desk person a $50 or $20 and ask if there is any complementary upgrades. Works some times.

@tonycns Thanks for the tip & even if you they won't upgrade you for free, it doesn't hurt to ask for a standard suite on the 45+ floor. Those top floors have the high-roller suites (like this one) but they also have a few standard suites that are nicer than most because of their higher ceilings & better decor plus they feel bigger because they're all on one level instead of having step down sitting areas.

@tonycns the $20 (sandwich) trick usually isn't needed for an upgrade. Usually, if you ask for an upgrade, you'll receive it if it is available (not gonna happen on the weekend normally...). If you want something really nice, you'll likely have to pay legitimately. But you could be lucky like carla78786...

@happysomeday09 Thanks for your comments and I paid for a standard suite around $150-$200 but they had to upgrade me for free because the hotel was almost full so I got this deluxe media suite for the price of a standard suite ;-)

Thanks, you're right - I was very lucky because that day when I checked into Palazzo, the hotel was almost 100% full so that's how I got upgraded to this gorgeous high-roller suite
