optic fiber is power safe by its own, your just using light to get data from one point to the other by a natural intercourse, theres no need for electrical boosts wich consume most voltage, instead they'll only need energy to keep the capacitors up to the task and nothing more, power eficiency like this shoulve been put into the market decades back, but hey, long live fascism!
Who uses firewire anyway? 95% of the semi pro to pro audio production market use it, same with semi pro video production.
Audio interfaces include: Apogee, RME, Prism Sound, Metric Halo, Digidesign, MOTU, Presonus, M Audio and the list goes on.
My main question is will USB 3.0 put load on the CPU? It will be interesting to see what the future holds in Audio Production be it USB 3.0 or a new firewire or something else all together.
DUDE! Please get over yourself! SIX minutes of either stating the obvious, or speculation. Barfarama! You've missed the idea of getting one message across clearly and well. Be succinct or hush. Leave us wanting more, not celebrating the end. Those who edit video professionally use FireWire all the time! Take a basic mass communication course and recognize that a subdued, monotonous voice is not cool unless you have killer insight into some aspect of the digital world. You don't, yet. Good luck.
Lol... Dude... nice vid... but... its 480 Mega BITS, not bytes, bits, and 4.8 Gigabits. When doing such a video, inform yourself a little bit more. b stands for bits, B for bytes.
