  • @mrsid6581 :

That period contains a few songs composed in assembler.

However, JCH's new player and editor was born and this section also contains the first set of tunes in it.

Broadly speaking, all tunes made in player v05 and higher were made in the music editor.

    Cheers :)

  • JCH's Oldplayer didn't have an editor, so he only used it himself. We're talking 1987-1988, before Vibrants.

  • @mrsid6581 The way JCH created these tunes was cumbersome. First, he composed the tunes in Aegis Sonix on the Amiga. Then he wrote all the notes down on a sheet of paper, and finally he meticulously typed them in on the C64. Before starting work on the new player and editor, JCH composed some songs in Laxity's player. The tunes in Laxity's player actually started as reverse engineering, mostly because JCH was jealous at Laxity, but also because he was tired of composing in the awkward old player.

  • impressive! in the middle it sounds abit like "living on video"..

    i wonder nobody uses JCH's oldplayer..?! ;P

  • @CUR50R I am not even sure if there is anything else than NewPlayer ;) Maybe JCH is hatching on his own oldplayers hah.

This song is fantastic livingly :P
