No. Is it as physically taxing as working a farm, doing construction, or playing sports? No But it is mentally taxing because a preacher (if they're any good) will give their all in a sermon, trying to best to convey the message that they believe God has given to them. They give it their all and afterwards they are mentally spent.

Paul talked about rightly dividing the word of truth. I believe it has to do with a correct view of the distinction between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Before Jesus died (and some say as late as AD70, when the Temple was destroyed, forever ending the Temple system), the OC was still in effect. Therefore, the Jews were still under the Law. WE are not.

We'll go by what it says and not what a simple man says. So we'll go with 1 Corinthians 16:2 and 2 Corinthians 9:7, both of which came after Jesus' death. Stop trying to create false issues just cause you have a greed problem.

And on a side note: Jesus didn't die in AD70. Thats not even a logical projected time.

@funnyman2424 We're not conversing, we're just talking over each other. Just one clarification of the conclusion you came to from what I said. I did SAY Jesus died in AD70. I said (some say) that the OC wasn't fulfilled/concluded until then. Josephus is a good source of the horror of that time. The Temple was laid waste, and the OC was forever nullified.

And on a side note: I think it of no small importance that the Temple hasn't been rebuilt in over 2,000 years. IMO, it never will be.

He's spot on until 1:16 in. That reverse psychology could very easily send the subtle message to some nonbelievers in attendance that going to NewSpring is on par with salvation. Going to church is not salvation. It reveals a misunderstanding of what church is: church is the body of believers in Christ, not a place.
