  • Nice way to treat a guy who is just going about his job. Why not just tell him why you didn't have a television licence instead of being the smart fella towards him?

Personally If i were him, I'd be sueing you for recording him without his permission. (Breach of privacy). You know the same privacy you seem to hold so dear to yourself! In my opinion, your right to keep filming finished as soon as he was off your property.

  • @Laurence1133 and then he was in Public... also Legal and Lawful to film. If he did nothing wrong, it's just for entertainment/Educational purposes, which it seems is the case for 99% people. I treated him with respect. If you say otherwise, you would be offended by smokers outside a pub I assume.

I didn't film him murdering anyone.

Privacy is a moot point. I told him all he needed to know about filming and he did not rebut in any way. I don't hold grudges. Regards.

  • The TV licence now covers 'internet sourced TV', such as iplayer, and any tv watched via your smart phone.

If i have to have a licence and you seem to think you don't, maybe you should stand for your MP's job at the next election, if you win, work your way through the political party you represent and eventually become PM. Then you can scrap the licence fee. UNTIL THEN - JUST PAY UP LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! (i bet your the guy at the bar who hides in the toilets when it's your round....)

  • That was not nice...

The guy is just doing his job, and what gives you the right to harass him by filming him, then uploading the video for the whole world see.

Just pay your tv license like everybody else you cheapskate, then there would be no need for you to feel harassed.

The bbc is great value for money, especially the world service radio.

  • WELL DONE MATE...!

  • quality

  • You acted like someone with a telly in his house who watches it when there is no one around. I hate the BBc for all sorts of reasons but he wasn't from the BBC.

  • Well done

  • nice one, this is the way to deal with these people, if you come out with a camera to people they immediately want to protect themselves from any form of complaints and will usually leave you alone

  • Hahaha brilliant. Love when people know their rights and implement them like this.

  • slightly hypocritical to be filming him and his I.D when you've chosen to dub out your own address from the video. Also the purpose of this video seems to be to show how clever you are by avoiding paying the license fee in this way. If it was solely for evidence of harassment, it wouldn't be on youtube.

If you watch television, but don't agree with paying the license fee, you must agree with commercial advertising.

  • @Yisitnotavowell

    Thank You for the apology.

It was well hidden in your comment.

  • @Yisitnotavowell i do. the license fee,is a joke.

  • TV license?!?! Let's see 'em try that in America. There would be an army of citizens wearing Peter Griffin masks and marching on Congress.

  • Comment removed

  • If you have a tv, just pay the licence like everybody else. it's amazing people think, for some reason, it's their right not to pay for something they don't agree with. If you don't agree with it, then don't have a tv simples.

  • @fireball79058350 Define TV.

  • @fireball79058350 i have a tv, but do not watch tv on it, pls tell me why i should pay for a licence???? if you can come up with a good enough reason for me to pay, il pay.

  • @fireball79058350 You sound so idiotic, so moronic.

I bet you're the kind of idiot that thinks the Queen is important to the world & the royal family is worth the newspaper their pictures are printed on.

  • @fireball79058350

Nah sorry, parasites should pay for their own entertainment and not expect others to subsidise it. Screw the BBC. 10 years and no licence.

  • @fireball79058350 dont be so sheepleish, there is no law in this country that says you have to pay for a tv licence, look into the wounderful world of law and legislation. i dont mean to be rude or anything but it's attitudes like that that keep these people getting away with what they get away with, tv licence, clampers, council tax but to name a few. educate yourself, learn the laws... i'll start you off, legislation can only have force of law with consent of the governed, you are the governed

  • @fireball79058350 its called fighting back,against bullying.

  • After years of harrassing and threatening letters, an inspector eventually called on me.

I didn't dick him about, opened my lounge door so he could see my TV from the doorstep, when he asked what i used the TV for I explained that I didn't watch any broadcast TV but used it to watch DVDs and playstation/xbox/wii - he was perfectly happy with this and left.

I'm not breaking any laws, I let him do his job and I haven't heard anything from them in 5 years, don't be a dick and I guess they believe!

  • poor bloke tried to leave 3 times and you carried on,YOU were the person harrasing in the end lol

  • @omega19s

I am not a Person. I am a Man. Now, what if I were a little old lady or a vulnerable member of the so called "society" that was visited 10 times?

Poor bloke don't cut it really. He is an Adult. An Adult that knew what the score was. It would have been on his notes. All Legally and Lawfully dealt with previously. They all say "I didn't know mate". But they do.

Thanks for the comment. All are welcome. Good or bad.

  • Folks, don't be taken in by this.

Watching tv at any time through a normal broadcast station is illegal without a tv licence.

'Live' programmes means a programme broadcast, not an event broadcast live at that moment in time.

I don't like paying tv licence, but I have to if i want to watch Corrie, News, documentaries as they are played by station.

If i want to have a monitor which i can use for watching DVD;s, video's etc, then no signal is emitted from my set. Normal telly emits a signal.

  • @Laurence1133 Forget the signal, detector vans are just myth, you dont need a "TV License" to own a tv, you need a license to watch tv ,it basicly means you can own a tv to watch DVD`s, videos, play X-Box etc. and only need a license if it is installed to watch tv (connected to a antenna). Part 4 of the Communications Act 2003 :-)

  • @wobbers99 Nice one matey, laugh? I nearly shat !!

  • 0:55 'And where are ya'? Absolutley Priceless. :-)

  • Signal then pull out pillock

  • You don't need a license if you have a TV only if you use it to view "live TV" you can have a TV and watch recorded stuff or videos DVDs etc without the need for license most people don't know that .... send then a removal of implied right of access then have a copy taped to your window. then send then a bill everytime they show up

  • you did a poor job of concealing the TV license man's ID card and car number plate lol

  • hay that licence man has a lead foot lol

  • tell the tv licence man to shove his card up his arse

  • shit hot

  • @DUMBNWO

Two words are better than non. I like your rhetoric. Splice ya main brace, I'm coming aboard. ;)

  • So I don't live in the UK but if I understand the concept of tv licensing, they're trying to tax your self inflicted brainwashing, for those of you who still watch tv?

  • i pay so you should pay you mug thats your fault for payin the bbc is corporate corrupt have a bit of back bone and dont pay sheeple littleluke 011 fuckin numpty the government love sheeple like him easily manipulated

  • It's sad...ordinary decent geezers up against each other. All at the behest of the power brokers and big corporations.

  • @BurrowingBunny

I never thought of it that way. You are spot on. Why should we battle each other to balance the books? Makes no sense.

  • @wobbers99 This is why the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor

  • I have opted out of paying for BBC TV as I do not watch live or otherwise, an inspector knocked 2 days ago trying to get my name before he informed me of who he was, I told him nothing more than I was not interested and to go away.

  • Nice one....Pat on the back for the common man!!

  • Handled like a pro.

  • a licence to watch tv ? what the hell?

  • Having a TV or, Video recorder does not require a Licence ( under admiralty/maritime Law), if you are watching a Broadcast ( live), or you are recording a `Live broadcast , you require a Licence. These TV Licence Inspectors have no more `Lawful` Right to force you to discuss the contents of your house or, the contents of your Wife`s knickers . British people are so timid, no wonder your Gov`t `Walks on your Common Law Rights` . Tell these shits nothing ! They have no power of a Constable

  • @terrygand That's how it is now.

  • if you don't have a TV license and you watch TV why should the rest of us pay for you to watch TV that is why my TV license cost so much

  • @littleluke011 Oh, shut up. No one tells you to pay.

  • @littleluke011

If it costs so much why keep paying? You feel grieved to pay, but still you pay. Stop Watching Live TV... plenty of other options out there. I don't complain about you opting in do I?

  • @wobbers99 agreed i have shiploads more fun watching vids on youtube VIDS I WANT TO WATCH great vid mate well done for your curtious manner aswell

  • @littleluke011 what a good little boy u are

  • @littleluke011 You don't get it do you?

  • @littleluke011 the BBC get funding from the UK government & commonwealth office & TV license & advertising from BBC America. TV License is an illegal monopoly under EU regulations

  • @littleluke011 WHY DON'T YOU GROW UP AND DO THE SAME. iT'S YOUR RIGHT

  • @littleluke011 "if you don't have a TV license and you watch TV why should the rest of us pay for you to watch TV that is why my TV license cost so much"

The widespread "you're spoiling it for the rest of us line" (also brainwashed in for car insurance, road tax etc). The question should be "why DOES anyone have to pay?"

People much more despise the thought of anyone else NOT paying, than they despise paying themselves. A very useful attitude for those pulling the strings.

  • @littleluke011 because there is no LAW that REQUIRES you to have a TV LICENSE

  • @littleluke011 Why do you assume that we watch the sh1t TV any way.

  • @littleluke011 Baaaaaaa wake up !

  • @littleluke011 you shudn'e have to pay to own your own tv anyway.

  • @littleluke011 I am watching here in the U.S. your comment the typical response made from a government employee - A PARASITE - those TV Inspectors are nothing more than another attempt by the governments to regulate/'ROB every aspect of hard working citizens of the world. Fact is - sooner or later the very gov. that the TV inspector is doing his dirty work for, will find a way to harass him for an infraction as well.

  • @littleluke011 a tv licence is issued by the bbc all other channels are independent ,if you pay for cable then you are untitled to watch all of the channles the cable company broadcast to you and if the bbc dont want you to watch their bullshit they shouldnt invade you home with their broadcast ,,would you pay mcdonalds a fee because you had an opportunity to eat their shite food ,,fuck the bbc and fuck their license ,,you dont have to have one and people are waking up to the fact

  • Category: Entertainment. lol

  • Seemed like a nice guy lol

  • lol I bet you've bene visited by utter cunts, but that guy seemed fairly nice!

  • THIS MAKES ME PMSL HAHAHAHHAHAHAH

  • omg! think he just shat himself around the corner.. lol yes do them for harrassment.. ! this is totally illegal...!

  • I guess the question is: do you have a TV?! I would just say "yes, I have a TV but I only watch DVDs/Catch-up TV; can you make sure the licensing people understand that?" or "no, don't have one, ditto". Job done (possibly). Or if you watch live broadcasts, get a licence, it's the law. End of hassle.

I don't know, poor sods trying to earn a living (working for Capita who have the contract for TV licensing). All this "I'm not obliged to answer" guff - true, but anal.

  • Something is fishy here! BBC [British Broadcast “Corporation”] or BBM [British Broadcast Ministry] ? Can't be forced or involuntary compelled to answer too, or do business with any company. Is TV insp. a deputized Govt. agent? All must stop using the word: Television or Tele, use: “Video Projection Device” TV or Tele or Television gives them jurisdiction for continued harassment in adhesion to self admission giving cause of Television ownership via shooting self in foot with own gun.

  • Segment 1;45 - 2;00 min. interval Nice... Very Good... Didn’t see TV inspector wearing a badge. Is TV inspector driving his own personal vehicle in receiving funding for mileage and gas? Can do a lot with a license plate number in the USA via friend's in the right places, in reaping personal havoc; or simply have this guy followed home; in adage: “Do on to others as they do on to you”… I would start of with a letter to his wife regarding sexual favors for Free Lifetime TV License….

  • Comment removed

  • I always thought you had to have a licence if you have a TV set, video recorder, sky box etc. Are you saying that you don't HAVE to have a licence? Assuming that one has a TV set or other TV signal recording device, does one have have to have a licence? I'm a bit confused, can you clarify the situation. Thanks

  • @stillbashingmetal "Part 4 of the Communications Act 2003 makes it an offence to install or use a television receiver to watch or record any television programmes as they're being shown on television without a valid TV Licence." - so catch-up TV, watching a DVD, using a console etc. are fine, but if you watch live broadcasts or video them for later viewing (even on a laptop using a TV card) then you need a licence.

  • @gavsky23 Thanks for the comprehensive reply. kind regards

  • I only watch stuff on internet and play ps3 etc.....i honestly never watch live as it is shown stuff as i find it mind numbing.....however i am being constantly harrassed by the tv license people...they even phoned me at 8pm jus before christmas and i said no contract no consent and that i dont watch none of there shite....now i get a letter from them demanding access to inspect my property...wich i am not going to let happen as we are not quite in fascist britain yet!!

  • Seriously mate vid would of been great but that music just pissed me off to no end.

  • @skullkiller123

Sorted! lol It is now removed. Didn't like the tune anyway ;)

  • Tell them to fuck off.

  • @rushymoto

I like the cut of your Jib. But.... Gob was set on polite setting that day ;)

  • @rushymoto just shut the door in their face

  • He Did Seem Genuinely A Nice Person Too.

  • This place looks like Hell itself.

  • I'm being very Naughty.

  • @wobbers99 - I love it! "This is being recording for....erm...evidence..." - that was perfectly delivered and you totally see the slow concern building on his face! lol xx

  • And you were polite too! top performance.

  • @hangfanuk

Polite is the new Black. They have no Answer.

  • @hangfanuk Thanks buddy. Funny how a hand full of people think the opposite. Whats happened to this Country? We can't even use non abusive normal conversation these days.

  • @hangfanuk

    Delivery is everything apparently. ;)

He never Objected to the recording. No harm done. A good day out for all. Almost as good as a theme park without leaving your little Castle. ;)

  • check imbatman57 @ talkshoe.com or youtube

  • check imbatman57 @ talkshoe.com or youtube

  • The TV licencing database is all wrong, it is using the post office database, this database is full of addresses that do not exist and errors I lived in a building with numbers 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d and no number 4, according to the TV licencing (and post office database) there was a number 4, and no 4d. This meant constant letters arriving at the flats. They should use the land registry database which is the correct one.

  • Did you notice the Gas leaks and the state of the roads?? All repaired very quickly after this.

    Just sayin. ;)

  • go buy a liscence and stop being cheap

  • @tartandaddy

Will you be happy if I just Gift money to YOU? Postal Order, Paypal, Cheque or Cash? I certainly won't be giving it to a Private Corporation making use of Legislation to act like the Mafia.

Please note, even Mortgage companies can in their T&C's rescind any force of Legislation in Contract giving rise to Null and Void effect of that particular Act.

Legislation IS Contract Law. Do I have to pull out Halbury's Law of Contract?

  • @wobbers99 No - it is simple - just buy a license

  • @tartandaddy You only need a licence if you're watching live broadcasts!! so the answer is watch it on the various iPlayers for free!! Why pay stupid amounts to the broadcast commission for 300 channels of shite!!

  • @wobbers99 with strictly come dancing - yeah - go get a licence, leech!

  • @tartandaddy

Ever heard of iplayer, 4od, itvplayer et al?

Come on buddy. This is a cheap shot. Why is this so important to you?

  • dont worry bout them fools they just dont understand what u are trying to explane to them and you r right in what you did! id do the same m8!!!....those people slaging u off probbly work 4 them or thair famaily does or something and people like that thats why are country is in a state as to them acepting thair laws wen they are not really tellin us the truth to us r they,,...

  • @willwebb515

Cheers buddy. Really appreciate the support.

I don't censor comments, I respond to them.

Everyone has the right of free speech and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I just don't like being jelly fish. 95% are in support.

    Regards

    Wobbly.

  • @willwebb515 wit? its a bloody TV licence...that all - not rocket science - how else does the BBC fund the fantastic programmes.

If you watch TV and don't have a license you are a free loader - not some great law breaking anarchist!

To me it is the same as working and claiming benefits!

  • @tartandaddy To , each and every citizen who owns a telly, you will ,be entitled to watch over 150 channels broadcasting by companies who generate income by ,selling advertising space to , operate. BUT one company decides ,to use the mafia way of generating income, by, FORCING sheeple to pay or else ! form ,of business. We should be able ,to disconnect, or, opt out of this service its ,called democracy!

  • @MrMorbrock not another licence dodger!

  • @tartandaddy license dodger ?, ,sorry to disappoint , you tartan but, i own, a licence, renewed every year ,since time, began, but unlike most, sheeple ,I still, have the right, to state, how I feel about the issue , hope, you enjoy, your xmas, shopping at, presumptuousness ,are, us

  • @MrMorbrock You protest too much methinks - and I love shopping at Presumptuousness are us.....fabulous reinforced gussets and flameproof knickers there.....be assured though I'll give you a wave as I walk by the 'I watch TV without a license'. Shop

    mmmmmmmmwha X

  • @MrMorbrock

Nice one Morbrock. Stick it to the man lol

  • @tartandaddy yes but you dont have the option to opt out of bbc all i want to watch sky not bbc but they wont let you so id rather freeload like you say and not pay for crappy bbc

  • tut tut tut - such bullying talk - very revealing! I reckon it is you who are the bully - look at the appalling way you responded to a very polite and respectful man doing his job.

Now I just want to wish you a speedy recovery from your visit to Casualty to have my boot removed from your arse!

Now go switch off eastenders - get online and buy that licence like a good boi!

  • @tartandaddy

As I have said before. Noticed them twice by recorded delivery that I don't require a License. Then 10 visits over a year.

I think even Mr Perfect like you may run out of patience.

  • @wobbers99 lilly livered Mr Perfect - they just keep on coming eh?

It's good to know you took my advice - now you can watch TV in undisturbed peace!

  • @tartandaddy

I have noted your comments, but certainly don't accept your advice matey ;)

  • Comment removed

  • oh go get a licence!

  • @tartandaddy

If I don't require one, why would I bow down to bullying?

I think you may be lilly livered. Not a trait I would be proud of.

I suspect you may have been conditioned to be a Corporate plaything and you like it.

    Each to their own!

  • @tartandaddy have you got one?

  • The principle of what you did was right but I think you were a bit harsh on him. I understand that many people who do this do deserve it but I think maybe he didn't deserve it that strong a term.

  • @TheSmithersy

Business meetings are sometimes fraught with egos. I did say it was nothing personal on the video ;)

  • haha nice one, a bit sad, since that is the nicest tv license nazi i have ever seen. But still like you say he came knocking...

  • Nice one !

  • hahahhaaaa...love it...lol

  • I think you were a bit harsh on him. He was a pleasant chap. It his bastard bosses you should of been biting their necks off.

  • Bully boy tactics? By asking you to pay £13 per month? You over sensitive PC brigade bunch of morons.

  • @mceverready pay me £13 then, if you think its ok. i tell you what, ill give you fuck all in return just to make this comparison more real.

  • @shariotoflove doesnt quite work like that though does it you moron.

I would be willing to bet large amounts of money you use BBC services on a regular basis.

  • @mceverready well you would lose that bet.

  • @mceverready

    Bless You My CHILD.

I love how every part of your comment is incorrect.

    Regards and best wishes.

  • @wobbers99 Y pay the bastards its your tv... monopolistic bastar ds

  • @mceverready Whay should yoy rightly "owe"the BBC to broadcast its crap into our homes and pay executives to get cabs to Wales from London. The only scroungers are the BBC you fuckwit

  • @Grifflaw You incoherent idiot. I cant take anyone seriously that is as stupid as you.

  • @mceverready Good on ya m8

  • @jasonp1971 The world loves a trier ;)

  • Hi love the video but can someone tell me what is meant by a "lean" what does it mean in law any information would be most appreciated thanks

  • @hicks2012

It's "lien". Wikipedia has a page on them. I'm not sure what a "personal lien" could possibly be here, however.

  • @rederic2004

I meant Commercial Lien with Vicarious Liability. I will hit them when I can be arsed. It's all commerce.

Is Law and Legal Sexy these days? I hope so.

Give it all go. Don't harm anyone.

  • thx man ive started doin the same thing i have set a camera up on my house and i have recorded them 5 times in 5 months ...once i mentioned it was bein recorded they couldnt get away quick enough :D

  • who the fudge is spamming me? I am a real man so stop it twit

  • @daffydave100

Don't worry Daff. Your comments are always Welcome.

    Un Spammed..Now showing bud.

    Regards

    Wobbly.

  • Absolutely beautiful wobbs I love how he turns down the dead end so he has to come back the same way again. as chas n dave say run rabbit run rabbit run run run

  • Would it be illegal if you set up a tuned in switched on tv in an upstairs bedroom, sat it on the windowsill facing out of the window?

The tv licencing say that you need a licence if you watch or record tv as it is being broadcast.

As you are neither watching it or recording it, are you breaking the law?

  • @nostalgic64

Nice thinking outside the box there matey.... BUT... It is equipment capable of receiving a Live Broadcast that requires a License.

So as much as I like the idea no apples on that one.

PS, a TV License is NOT LAW, it is a Statute given the force of Law with consent (a valid contract).

    Cheers for the comment.

    Regards.

    Wobbly™

  • @wobbers99 So your computer is capable. You need a licence.

  • Comment removed

  • @nostalgic64

They say - "watching or recording tv programmes as they are being shown on tv"..

    It's their double speak. so....

    "Watching" = capable of receiving.

"As they are being shown" = Live broadcast.

Always, always have a defualt setting that "THEY" are ALWAYS trying to con you. ;)

  • why couldnt you of just said "i have no tv (or do not use it for watching tv), i do not need a license" instead of making the guy (thats only doing his job and earning a living) feel like a c*nt.

  • @ellwrox

You seem to think I have control over his feelings. Did you ask if he felt like a c*unt?

So you think 10 visits in a year and 2 recorded delivery notices stating what you said wasn't enough?

Buddy, you need to have a dose of the same medicine. Lets see how you deal with it.

Maybe you like being pushed around in life. But I have limits.

BTW there are other ways of making a living which don't require attempted extortion.

Thanks for the ill informed comment though.

  • @wobbers99 no probs man :)

  • Superbly done! From the moment you opened the door ("Right, let's have a look at your ID.") to the moment at the end where he tried to make a fast getaway down a cul-de-sac, you were firm but fair. Bollocks to the BBC license scam!

  • i love you

  • @BullFighter2011 Steady now Captain!

    Thats how rumors start lol

  • tight arsed cunt

  • @TheSquire1888

I will give this comment further consideration.

I'll get back to you with a more lengthly retort.

    All the best.

    Wobbly™

  • hahaha i love it

  • For the 10th time I tell ya :)

    Quality

  • Implied access is removed...I love it! Awesome video and very well dealt with...thumbs up and added to my favourites!

  • Alternatively, don't answer your door. But you have a video camera and intend to argue with absolutely everything anyone ever says. Good on you, standing your ground, it's what everyone should do by all means, but not to the extent where you enjoy the circus you intentionally create and deliberately extend conversation for no other purpose than conflict. Want to stop being 'harrassed'? (which you aren't), then sort it when the next chap comes along, rather than shoving your camera up their arse

  • @Transcendentality

I would love to shove a camera up their arses. But only if absolutely required by Legislation.

  • lol, he was off quicker than bolt.
