Awesome stuff. Flatland Florida glider pilot here, really impressive to watch the ridge soaring and I would love to see lift of 8 on the average as you did. Still trying to find the Central Florida convergence myself. Maybe one day.
This one was mine as well. It is a great place for a first contest. Looking forward to meeting you. What do you fly? Be prepared for some amazing scenery!
I currently fly a grob-103 twin acro but Im not sure what I'll get up in for a contest. It's a realy nice plane though, and it looks like some nice scenery!
Great Video and quite nice location you got there in USA. Here in Germany Gliding is mmmhhh lets say more intresting because of the cloudbase, wich is in my region about 6000ft on a very god day. Keep on filming!
:) When you have 40 miles of unlandable mountain terrain you have to fly over with mountain tops up to 11,000 you start thinking 13,400 isn't enough! I was feeling wimpy ;)
I love you vids! I am a glider pilot too, I am studying for my GPL right now! My longest flight is just over 2.5 hours, bud I loved it!
In march I will fly my first triangles or routes over the land, start with 100km climbing to 250/300. I am looking forward to that! I like you video's really much!
I loved seeing all the sailplanes out the last summer. I live in Logan, and thought it was just cool that all you came out this year. Is this something that will be happening again? The weather was amazing for you this year. Perfect for gliding!
ahhhh...but I was amazed at the amount of safe landing strips..EVERYWHERE in the turnpoint area. We only had 2 times where planes landed in a nice alfalfa field, all the rest of the landouts were at landing strips...which were EVERYWHERE..micki-retrieve office
Great video, love the fisheye lens! The scenery in Utah sure makes me want to get down there and do some flying. I fly in Canada on the Prairies, so the idea of not having anywhere to land is quite scary to me. However, I guess you don't have to worry about landing out if you're at 15,000!
Keep on making these great vids and flying contests!

first do your 50 or 100km, and thereafter your 300 km ;) If the weather is ok, it won't be that hard! I did it too. Just try. Good luck
