can someone please help? i want to run a cs server at home, i have connection of 200 mbit do i need to buy this ? so i can run multiple servers ? or what should i do please reply
@syahmie69 depends on your raid configuration if you have it set to normal single drives with out raid you get about 30 or 40mbps over a gigabit network, (that Megabytes not Megabits btw) Raid 0 config you will get about 50mbps (if your lucky) Raid 1 pretty much the same Raid 5 your looking at about 15 to 30mbps depends on how big the file is.
Your voice is sooo boring. Get some enthusiasm into your speech. All you geek presenters are so droney it makes me sick. I will not buy this product. Dull Dull Dull. Pretend you are about to make love to a beautiful woman,, Zest.. speak loudly and clearly.. if you are bored, then we will be bored too.
I got the same drive a few months ago, and I've basically had to stop using it. The latency problem won't allow my PS3 to properly stream content from it. It will start, then choke after it gets to playing content. Copying files to it is horrendously slow, and often fails. I'm not sure how much is my home network, but the drive is basically useless.
@Shemp65 Quality Of Service, in other words it's traffic comes first. Then everything else goes thru. VOIP need QOS or your phone call get broken up and you miss parts of the conversation in a busy network.

@BillieJean900 This isn't a server, this is a network storage device (well it kind of is a server, but not one to host CS)

10% of 1GB is 100Gbps equals 12.5MB/sec.
400GB = 400 x 1024 = 409,600MB
409,600/12.5 = 32768 seconds to download 400GB
32,768/60(seconds per minute) = 546.133 minutes to download 400GB
546.13332/60(minutes per hour)= 9.102222_ hours to download 400GB

@Shemp65 why not use QOS to that device and prioritize it?
