I just got into trikes a bit over a year ago and im now kicking myself in the head! i bought an 81 250r off some guy for $50, it needed a magneto so i went on ebay and picked one up, i wound up selling the bike for like $350, if i knew what i know now about em i would have never gotten rid of it! haven't seen one since!

you need a v force 3 read cage there all carbon fiber parts your stock reed cage is shot flooding out the crankcase if you turned of the gas when you were running it would run like a champ for 5 seconds

what do you think about using redline two stroke oil, they say its synthetic and it looks like red water instead of oil. My cousin recomeneds that i use it in my 1982 yz 125 let me know what you think

goin slow? well when i first got it was foulin plugs out the ass cause i wasnt revving it and in the powerband. but mine pretty fast. it been a really good bike. starts mostly first kick all the time. its the first yamaha ive had and i like it. ahah

i know a guy who has a 1982 250r sittin out side but the motors in a shed and the 250r needs a rear axle and he wants 250$ for it . it hasnt run in 10 years... think i should save it ?

Try your pre-mix at 40:1 - see if it runs any better. Does it idle ok? If not the pilot might still be clogged.
