Too bad you didn't mention the more interesting stories about this line. You make it sound like this trolley line should never been built. Seems like everything was against it, including nature. It's just another interurban line that would not have existed if the internal combustion vehicle was invented 20 years eariler. Great info but....Uhh!

I am a Bethany alumnus, class of 85'. Thanks for putting this together, very interesting. I can still remember seeing the old trolley rail bed, concrete footings, bridges, tunnels and the like, as we drove to and from Wellsburg ( the nearest liquor store to Bethany ! ). Even in the early eighties the place seemed frozen in time.

Wonderful video. Working in the mass transit rail business now..this was really interesting. And having driven a transit bus in Oakland quite a bit, I know how the students and some others try to "ride free"... funny.
