  • if i had a gun there is absolutely no way i would miss that guy

  • never hit the extractor more than once guys you could get a shell stuck that way and would be completely screwed

  • @teddyc0777 A valid point, however if one or more of your cases don't extract the first time, it's either pick them out by hand or use a second tap. I'm not referring to using a double-tap on the extractor all the time, only when needed.

  • OMG MARIO SHOOTS A GUN

  • @gregjasa368 Now that is a first.

  • @CSSstravag haha you lucky you life in usa here in netherlands if you get cought you get sentenced for 5 years or something

  • Nice .357.people who think the gun is going to kick like a mule are probably the same hollywood bullshit fanatics that would spin the cylinder and flick their wrist to swing the cylinder closed

  • @20dubXXtwenty Much obliged for the dose of sanity, amigo. Thinking about doing some video later this year with improved times and accuracy.

  • Ah... he has a bigger barrel than the gun

  • Ah.

  • Don't you need to spin the cylinder ?

  • Nice revolver. It is a .357, I don't get much recoil from mine either. Having some big sturdy hands plus the weight to go behind it helps along with knowing what you are doing and experience.

  • @gjimene2 Thanks for the comment. 'Tis definitely nice to see that someone else handles guns IRL and doesn't expect a .357 to kick like a .50 AE.

  • slight of hand pro...

  • @TyeDye07 Love the Call of Duty references...

  • Is that a .32? It ain't no .357.

  • @SecondAmendAtty It's a .357, I swear it. It only looks like it doesn't have any recoil because I'm large enough to eat the recoil like most people using a .380.

  • That is not a 357 :P

  • @xXrCrusHeRXx And what do you think it is? Mind you, the Smith and Wesson Mod. 27 (Highway Patrol) was only made in one caliber...

  • @CSSstravag It looks like my .22 just saying.

  • I just clicked a related video with a guy not even trying to speed relaod and he was faster.

  • I practice speed-reloading a lot with a Colt Python, HKS speedloaders and duty-style speedloader holsters. Using dummy rounds, I've found that sub 3 second reloads are quite possible. Of course, the right technique helps too. It takes some work, but it’s possible to learn Jerry Miculek's technique from the third video in the "Jerry Miculek S&W demo" series here on Youtube.

Keep up the good work. Nice revolver by the way.

  • Its not a video game. U cant reload something like that S&W in under 2 seconds like in COD. Looked like a pretty brisk reload time to me.

  • that was slow as hell

  • @ignace52jx What's the point to what?

  • i've seen people "sling the revolver" after reloading in real life....besides that, nice vid

  • @terrence77477 I've seen people do it as well, but it doesn't make it proper or safe.

    Thanks for the accolades.

  • I had time to make a sandwich during ur reload... Thanks I thought I almost missed something

  • @mrblueagian Cute. Let's see some video of you doing better.

  • Comment removed

  • @CSSstravag Not a poblem.. Vid comming soon!!

  • @CSSstravag i agree on that. it was a demonstration not as fast as you can do anyways.

  • @CSSstravag I've seen first day shooters do better, why should the bloke waste his time? It was an insanely slow reload.

  • @obscureluzername And I'd like to see some video of these first-day shooters doing better.

I know this wasn't my best. It's been a few years since I made this video, I think it approaches time that I do a better one.

  • @CSSstravag Well I'm not about to go to the range and videotape trainees just for your satisfaction, you admit yourself it's a slow reload, don't cry yourself to sleep or anything it's probably just a matter of practice.

  • @mrblueagian u must be a really fast woman...

  • @ArcticZ0NE OK that was the dumbest reply .. is that all you can come up with...the reload is all wrong loading with weak hand anyone who shoots competitively knows this.....

  • @mrblueagian i was complimenting him on his reload and being a little sexist at the same time. you just don't get the joke and so what if it wasn't as fast as you wanted it to be. if u didn't like it you didn't have to watch it...

  • @ArcticZ0NE True I do apologize I thought it was directed to me. Im man enough to admit when Im wrong and your right I dont have to watch this but I did the first time and now I have tomake a video of my own reloading to prove I can do better..lol Not hard I have done it alot before during tourneys Just gotta get a vid of me doing it in live time..

  • @mrblueagian do u use a .357 in tourneys?

  • @ArcticZ0NE Actually no.. dont laugh but I use a Raging Bull 44 Mag. For tourneys I use 44 Specials out of it with it having ports it really keeps muzzle rise down and keeps me back on target fast. It has a double locking cylinder so ya have to activate both in order to open the cylinder. Took alot of practice to get fast at it but thats why ya practice.. I usually open cylinder hold in left hand , plunge rounds out at same time as grabbing new loader.. drop in and away ya go.

  • @mrblueagian i love .44 magnums. my dad has a model 29 i think. hes also lucky to have a 9 1/2 inch barrel. those things are really accurate so i see why you use it.

  • @ArcticZ0NE yup very accurate and easy to control. mine the 8 3/8 inch barrel of which the last 1.25 inches is ported..

  • @mrblueagian umm i've never fully understood what porting does. do u have a way to explain the difference of having a partially ported barrel and not?

  • @ArcticZ0NE In a non ported barrel the bullet travels down the bore and out the muzzle relieving all the pressure out the end up the muzzle resulting in the weapon pushing back and up. Shooter feels 100% of the recoil then...in a ported barrel the bullet travels down the bore and before it exits the muzzle it passes past ports cuts/holes in barrel which direct gases up or out the sides not only lessening the blast at the end up the muzzle but the felt recoil as well cause it exits before the end

  • @mrblueagian that would be nice to have especially for tourneys. thanks for explaining

  • @ArcticZ0NE Anytime :)

  • @mrblueagian damn, u must make a fast sandwich.

  • @kingkillerwolf lol well I could be a sandwich artist, But that takes time to make the perfect sandwich :P

  • No problem your welcome =]

  • Check out FPSRussia on YouTube beat weapons!!

  • @IrishRickyX Not some bad videos. Never knew of that channel until you mentioned it. Thanks.

  • Fls russia wannabe

  • @IrishRickyX Erm, what?

  • @IrishRickyX lol fail

  • WOW This guy total wasted $48! (Each shot is $2)!

  • @velociraptorc77 Nah, the $2 metric is for the really high power personal defense loads. CCI Blazer Brass is something on the order of 0.45 cents a round. So my expenditure for this demonstration was 10.80, nowadays prices. I'll wager it cost less back when I made this video, but I don't remember the prices at that time.

  • THAT'S MOVIE BULLSHIT. KEEP IT OUTTA REAL LIFE.

    lol k.

  • @sykop8ntballer that just became the quote of the day! haha

  • But the bullets shoot faster if you give the cylinder a good spin. And when you whip it shut, it scares the intruders more. Kinda like in the movie "the phonebooth" when he rechamber a round in his weapon and asks the other guy if he knew why he does it? Cause it sounds cool!!

  • @02pwrstrk I am in awe of the sheer impossibility of this comment.

  • @CSSstravag i am in sheer awe that anyone would take my comment seriously.

  • @02pwrstrk Look up Poe's Law.

  • @CSSstravag i agrre this person is either ten or is mentally retarted...0_o

  • @ubergammer00 Nah, just another victim of Poe's Law. Without any way to tell the difference, it becomes hard to differentiate parody from sincerity. No voice on a text message, so no way to tell by intonation.

  • @ubergammer00 You got trolled.

  • @02pwrstrk This is why tv and movies should not be used in place of proper fire arms training. Good way to have an ND and hurt/kill yourself or loved ones.

  • @02pwrstrk This is why tv and movies should not be used in place of proper fire arms training. Good way to have an ND and hurt/kill yourself or loved ones.

The video itself tho.. Epic :)

  • OMG! I never would have thought of having both holsters on one side! No more switching hands for 9mm to .357 for me!

  • i spun the cylinder and had a missfires, i had 2nd degree burns on my arm from the escaping gas. so don't bullshit around...

  • he looks like a bigger version of bob munden

  • i just put them in between my fingers to speed reload it.

  • @darktooth347 That's one way to do it if you don't have the hardware. Before I found out that there actually is speedloaders for my model, that was how I did it.

  • "THATS MOVIE BULLSHIT,KEEP IT OUTTA REAL LIFE"

  • I guess you're right about that. but still if I did find myself in a gun fight, and it came time to reload, I'd much rather be able to simply put bullets in a revolving chamber rather than take the time to load a magazine. But then again, that's if you needed to reload.

  • @daleboyrdm 'If' being the key word there. The training is to make sure you put steel on target first time, every time. Since most criminal encounters are with 1 tango, you should only need two chest shots or one good clean head shot.

  • Wow, those bullet holder things are actually called "speed loaders"? :|

  • @Masterpivot292 Compared to reloading individual rounds, yes.

  • @CSSstravag

Well, I knew they made reloading faster, I was always just wondering what they were actually called.

  • @CSSstravag I think he's a CoD fan :P

  • or you could do all that the proper way.

  • Seriously. Flicking the cylinder open and closed and stuff is not good for the weapon and can unalign some inportant pieces inside, reducing the weapon's effectiveness and increasing its chance of exploding. As cool as it happens to look, it's best to leave it to fictional gunfights. Doing that to anything other than a movie prop is ignorance and a travesty.

  • @ElPayasoMalo

Agreed, if you're gonna do it, I'd buy a prop or use a older one which you no longer use, or something like that.

  • in black ops youd be dead

  • @abdbaseball12 if I was facing black ops, I'd be dead by default. I don't train to take down military, it is a fool's errand to think a civvie has any such chance. My training is for smearing criminals and casual threats, not professionals.

  • @abdbaseball12 I know i was just saying it as a joke that was pretty fast though.

  • 1:38 only 5 shots what happened to the sixth

  • @Nextto13 It's been so long, I'm not sure. May have been a dud.

  • fat ppl cant do shit fast enough . lol

  • @Z1nt Then stop flapping your gums and post some video of you doing better, puke.

  • @Z1nt that looked pretty fast to me and he hit his target to.Stop playing black ops and go to the range.

  • I have a revolver but it uses pussy 22 LRs. :P

  • @fresca9990211 Pussy or not, 22 LR used in the right fashion is more than ample to kill someone. You just have to be real close and hit them a couple times to make sure it is done right.

  • @CSSstravag That's true I use the S&M 617 I use it when rabbit season is on. :P

  • What the F**** is wrong with all of you who go on youtube criticizing people about there videos. I don't care if he speed loaded with his toes. IT'S HIS F****ING VIDEO. If you don't like it or disagree then get the F**** off his Youtube page!

He didn't ask for you stupid a** opinion anyway.

  • my personal prefrence would be a revolver over a semi-auto. it just has more skill and technique than simply changing a magazine. ( that on some rare occasions might get jammed )

  • @daleboyrdm A lot of firearms instructors say the same thing, especially with a SA/DA revolver you can just pull the trigger again if the first round doesn't fire.

  • @daleboyrdm A requirement of skill and technique in a self defense situation is not ideal. A weapon requiring more skill and technique will get you killed. I can't imagine trying to reload a revolver, even with a speed loader, in a life or death situation.

  • Great that you mentioned not to spin or slam the cylinder closed Hollywood style. No better way to spring the crane, bend the ejector pin, fuck up the timing big time. I don't ever let anyone touch my Colt Python until I explain the way I want it closed: Grasp the cylinder by opposing flutes, line them us as close as possible to horizontal, and gently close the cylinder while holding the cylinder release pin open. That's why my 1968 Python is as perfect as the day it was made.

  • That wasn't a speed reload. That was a normal reload that would get someone killed if this someone needed to perform a speed reload.

  • @NC77583 And can you do better?

  • Sure do! But this doens't matter anyways, because it wasn't me who did the video. You could've done the video, but don't put the words "speed reload" in it, because it isn't! And if you don't believe me, see some other comments!

  • @NC77583 You, sir, are the first to say so and actually be civil about it. For that you have my gratitude.

I am aware this isn't my finest work in terms of speed, and am working on it.I hope sometime this year to post an improved video.

  • Well, I'm excited to see so then! Oh, and I thought someone had already said that, but than I looked at the comment again, and I realized they were talking about a movie... But anyways, thank you for your gratitude and for your intension to teach people, that's very nice. And I'm sorry if I were rude, that wasn't the intension.

  • seems pretty hard to fit rounds to chambers... is it because of the rim between a ball and a case?

  • @kaaajeee In this case, it was hollow points getting stuck on the edges of the chambers. Loaded right, that rim between the ball and the case should be roll-crimped in to the point that it will not interfere in the loading process.

  • carry speedloaders on strongside (Right handed=right) and reload with stronghand is much more reliable and faster.

  • You should really consider push-button speedloaders. The twist knob seems to really slow things down.

  • @CommanderWill5 Already considered them. They're too jumpy, dump in pocket if activated by accident. HKS may be a fraction slower, but I'll settle for that fraction over having a loader empty out in a pocket or pouch.

  • Very informative! I'm just now getting/looking into revolvers, definitely going to favorite this video for future reference.

  • Don't do this, friend...

  • Do you prefer moonclips or speed loaders?

  • @Virck Moon Clips only apply to the Smith and Wesson 625, they are not usable on the Smith 28 (shown here). I have nothing for or against moon clips, but if I am going to use a weapon in .45 it is either going to be my 1911 in .45 ACP or a revolver in .45 Long Colt, not mixing the two.

  • @intermitrj Free energy is physically impossible. Any resistance (electrical, mechanical, thermal, air, etc) in the system would use energy and force the input of more energy to keep the system running. Doesn't exactly work out as 'free'.

Mythbusters tried this already and busted about a dozen free energy systems. Nothing to see here, move along.

  • @CSSstravag Mythbusters can be tards, don't get me wrong alot of their stuff is legit.. but it's that once and a while they make a statement that a kindergartener could disprove.

  • about that slinging the revolver to the right to attempt to close the cylinder...that was a nice thing to know before i got my hands on a revolver.. good thing I knew it was movie bullshit before I try it :))

nice vid by the way! and very informative too...

  • very nice gun man! Im going to get one this week hopefully!!

  • You ought to point the muzzle into the sky during cartridge ejection. Otherwise, case might hang up.

  • @texascivic That's one thing I've been working on since I shot this vid about 2 years ago. Thx!

  • or you could put on seight of hand pro?

  • I have no idea why some of you guys have to make his size into an issue. I just don't get it. Does it make you guys feel better about yourselves?

  • for 2 min 38 secs, that int that fast

  • @GSGBALLINEVERYDAY THen might I request you sub a video doing better?

  • @CSSstravag watevr fat ass. i could do better loading manually unlike u pussyfoot

  • @GSGBALLINEVERYDAY That was a level request, not an insult. Butthurts like you give the internet a bad rep. This conversation is over.

  • your to close to the targets an get something that moves

  • Id pwn this guy so quick with him, ill outflank his ass so easy fuckin fatty

  • @kmklover Cute. You do realize that video game logic gets people killed IRL, right?

  • @CSSstravag Are you joking? Flanking your enemy has turned the tide of at least 1 battle in I'm sure EVERY war since the dinosaurs. That's not "video game logic", that's how wars are won. Besides.. how would attempting (even if you failed) to flank your opponent get you killed? Worst case scenario: he sees you.. so you then have your little firefight with him from wherever you are. Saying "pwn" doesn't distinguish a person, even thinking it does suggests you're more retarded than I thought.

  • @Yumyumtuna The problem isn't so much with the act of flanking, the problem is thinking you can automatically flank someone because of his size and that will give you an instant win. Just because I'm bigger than the average joe does not make me inherently slower or more easily outmaneuvered than the next guy. I live in an open field with no cover; you try to flank someone on that kind of terrain and you can expect to be shot.

  • @CSSstravag EXACTLY why I DONT take the majority of my friends shooting!! I am 16 and most of my friends are in the 14-18 range and most all of them play non stop video games.

  • @kmklover You couldn't break a cheeto with your dick, you knucklehead! HAHA

  • @Aussie038 Then let's see some video of you doing better, amigo.

  • .38 special or .357 magnum?

  • @animematt .357 Mag, specifically CCI Blazer Brass 180-grain JHP.

  • that is the lowest recoil ive seen

    on a revolver

  • @artaza99 That is years of practice and my significant size/strength at work.

  • "you may have to push it 2 or 3 times" wtf? That must be one shitty revolver, I tilt mine back and all 7 slide out without pushing anything

  • @RRViper800TT Same thing with mine, if the rounds are unfired. The case walls of the rounds expand after being fired, which tends to grip the inside of the cylinder. Especially applicable if you are using an older revolver, which may have looser tolerances inside the cylinder due to wear (like mine).

  • @RRViper800TT wtf 7 bullets thats bullshit

  • your a DUMBASS! the 40 cal was NOT made to be a gap in between the 9 and 45 DUMBASS. the cops wanted it to replace the 38 special revolvers. your tellin people the wrong shit. go back to school and put those guns down until you really kno what the bullets are to make em work

  • @grsw5906 Unfortunately, I must claim bullshit on your comment. My father was law enforcement when they began replacing the dated .38s with 9MM semi-autos, not .40 S&W. Nobody on his department used a .40 at the time he retired in 2002, most were 9mm, a couple .45s, one .380, a pair of .357s, a pair of .44 mags, and one .50 AE.

Now, that being said, in the interest of fairness I would like to know what your source is. I'm not saying it is wrong, I would like to know where people get this stuff.

  • @CSSstravag i own nearly 25 books on firearms/reloading/10mm/and ipsc. being a firearms instructor/range master/ NRA instructor/ i have taken hundreds of hours of classes on reloading and bullet rounds. the 10 mm is my favorite round and i know for a fact even from smith and wesson that the 40 cal is based on the 10s frame. It is also in black and white in smith and wessons pistol books including their 752 standard model catalog which give you detail about the 40 s&w and 10 mm which they made.

  • @CSSstravag LMAO a cop was using a desert eagle?

  • @camaro76 Feel free to laugh your ass off, I won't stop you. The department's collective hobby was trading guns, and most the officers carried their personal choice of sidearm instead of the standard-issue 9mm.

Also, keep in mind that Desert Eagle is not the only pistol chambered for .50 AE.

  • @CSSstravag i just found it funny because here in madison wi, police can only carry 9mm, .40, or .45. no exceptions, even for your backup weapon.

  • @camaro76 Some departments are like that, others are a lot less restrictive on what officers can carry.

  • With all the videos of Bob Mungren out there.....its hard to remember just how incredible this guy's reload was. Good form, old boy!

  • How is this a speed reload? I could almost reload single rounds faster.

  • that's a reload... not even close to a "speed" reload

  • thats movie bullshit......

  • I blinked and i missed it...

  • I prefer to reload "righty", but to each his own.

  • @bubba55l Aye, to each his own. I reload lefty because of my training, it may cost me a second but I never release my primary grip.

  • Nice. Always have been more fond of Revolvers. Only Auto I liked was the Luger. Would still Prefer a Webley Green or Mk IV firing .445's. Nothing like a Big Heavy Slow Lead Slug.

  • @Detoyato I have no objections to autos, especially the larger Automags or 1911s, but I do have to differ just slightly with you on one point: There is nothing like a Big Heavy Slow Lead _Hollow-Point_ Slug :)

  • @CSSstravag Like a shotgun slug?

I have some hollow point slugs for my 10 gauge.

  • @frankgon4 Few things beat a shotgun in close quarters, with the possible exception of a flamethrower :)

  • @CSSstravag Flamethrower, now youre talking

  • thats not actually fast but its okay

  • Use sleight of hand!

  • yeah, ill just buy a glock lol.

  • @Rrichthe3 Your call, I have never met a Glock with the stopping power of a .357 Mag.

  • @CSSstravag .40 cal glocks are pretty close.

  • @Skwerl132 In rounds on target, maybe; I'd still go with a revolver on accuracy. In energy on target per round, hell no. .40 S&W is listed in the encyclopedia of handguns as having 492 joules in energy output, whereas the .357 comes in at 1079, over double the .40. Also, keep in mind that the .357 was designed to bust early body armor, the .40 was simply designed to compromise between the control of a 9mm and the stomping power of a .45 Auto, and it achieves neither.

  • @CSSstravag .40 S&W has about 650 joules of energy, and glocks are available in .357, 10 mm auto, and .45 auto as well.

  • @Skwerl132 What source did you get that joule rating from? I've never read a .40 S&W rated that high.

And I know what calibers Glocks are offered in, but keep in mind that .357 Sig is wildly different from .357 Magnum. The good .357 Sig sits a lot closer to .38 Special in terms of stopping power than it does the .357 Magnum, given that all three calibers use the same diameter of bullet (0.357). You're not getting a major performance advantage out of the Sig, except again being a semi-auto.

  • @CSSstravag God knows if any of this is true or not seeing as anyone could have posted it, but wikipedia seems to have the .357 magnum and .357 sig rounds very close in rating, and given its history to be a crossover round duplicating the .357 magnum in semi-auto pistols, I think it causes adequate destruction. It is slightly less powerful, but having twice as many shots to take and being able to fire them off more quickly is enough to make me pay a few hundred extra for a glock.

  • @Skwerl132 try looking up the world record for shooting the fastest. The guy uses a revolver.
