If Democratic Socialists of the Democratic Party and in America in general are so fed up with the Democratic Party. Then they should unite all of the Progressive 3rd Party's of America into one Democratic Socialist Party.
I keep watching this trailer over and over because the movie looks so good!
And Alterman, leave Nader alone. There's not an iota of difference between the Democratic and Republican parties. Nader is the only chance we have for AVERTING things like the Iraq War, the destruction of the environment, and the defiance of the Constitution.
he said something along the lines of " let's see if he's an uncle sam or an uncle tom" i think he was talking about foreign policy. I personally don't know what he meant by it, but knowing nader, he didn't mean the obvious racist remark.
Something along those lines, he said that Obama now had the opportunity to help the USA achieve great things and that we would see if he'd become Uncle Sam for the people of the United States or Uncle Tom for big corporations.
"But his choice, basically, is whether he's going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporations"
He was not directing a racist remark at Obama, shep smith just spun it on him. I admit it was probably a poor choice of words and he should have used another term (just so it couldn't be used against him), but he was still unfairly attacked for it.
According to the latest poll, 43% are still undecided. From the word on the street, as I've heard, people aren't thrilled about either McCain or Obama.
59% of independents want Ralph in the debates.
In 2000, 70% of people wanted Ralph in the debates. The Commission on Presidential Debates still said no.
They will say no again this year, too.
All Independent voters need to step up and vote Nader. If 43% are undecided (independent) then these numbers suggest a very likely victory!!!
Everyone is all talkin' about how great Obama is going to be, but he won't be holdin' a candle to what Nader could do. Nader makes Obama look like a schoolboy with a pretty smile.
If America votes for Obama just because he seems like a cool guy then get ready America, because we're headed for trouble.
CAlifornia got stuck with the Terminator as governor and in only a few years he's backrupted the state!!! This election is a popularity contest, and if we don't do something to make it otherwise, then all I've to to say is brace ourselves for what's ahead
I'm Ralph Nader's 2004/2008 campaign filmmaker, and my book about my adventures with Ralph, WHAT WAS RALPH NADER THINKING? is available ONLY at TheWomanDirectordotcom. It's available in paperback, limited edition hardback, and audiobook.

Great film. While a national gem/saint such as Ralph Nader (and he's our one and only) continues to speak out on our behalf (the citizens of this nation) undaunted, undeterred and untainted by the desperate special interest backed corporate commentary at times found in it, never fear. He's a mouthpiece for truth and it stands on its own, while corruption continues to crumble under the weight of itself. Now or later...the truth floats: it's closer to heaven.
Nader saved more human lives than anyone outside of the medical field. As for "spoiling", why can ONLY America can't deal with more than two parties? The Democrats analysis proved Nader gained votes for Gore. Gore's campaign was the worst since the Civil War. He planned on losing. Gore shafted America and any idiot can see that. Gore could have beaten a drunk, AWOL, womanizing, drug using business failure...but didn't? People, realize elections are faked when controlled by the 2 parties!
If your going to yell at Nader For Running, you should also consider yelling at the "Second" party for running also. Lets just have the One Candidate, Can you Imagine how Efficient this country could be?!? We could call our one party the National Socialists, I hope the name isnt already taken.. :crosses Fingers: Our Stocks would Really rise HIGH, We could invade More countrys, and build more camps around the world. I Cant Wait!!!
jonesr999 - nader didn't cost gore the election. In Florida, the difference in votes between gore and bush was less than ALL the 3rd parties running. 2nd, 200 Thousand registered Democrats voted for Bush in Florida. 3rd, Gore couldn't carry his own state (Tenn.) or other "slam-dunk" states. The list goes on, Gore just ran a snooze-fest campaign and it wouldn't make a difference if he ran or not. Even nader believes gore won the election, but that it was stolen from him.
Florida was given to Bush because he received 438 more votes than Gore. 97,000 votes went to Nadir. No one knows what would have happened if Nadir hadn't run, but it seems likely that Gore would have won both Florida and New Hampshire, and the election, if he hadn't. I never liked Gore, either, and he did run a snooze-fest. Hell, if you can't beat Bush in a debate, you shouldn't even be running.
jonesr999 - I agree. But, i still think that gore won regardless if Nader ran, those 438 more votes is a sham, there is countless evidence of systematic exclusion of Blacks voting that day. There was no paper trial of those counting machines, long lines, missing machines, and no hand recount. Still, it shouldn't have been that close, you're right, Gore should've landslided Bush.
Excuse me but, did you realize that over 300,000 Florida Democrats voted for Bush in 2000? Sheds a little light on the REAL PROBLEM - ALL Democrats didn't vote Gore!
thank God Obama was about change we could believe in, lol

True, saw it myself on Fox, and it was " Let's see if he'll be Uncle Sam or Uncle Tom"
Kind of a Bummer, but, he's probably just tryin to get some more attention from the media that ignores him
