Well, I know that a good majority of English-speaking girls on this planet love twilight, even if there are a few boys that get into it, too. Lol, I obviously don't know your friend, but most of my guy-friends that got into it only read/watched as a joke, and they said it was corny :(

And yeah, I've read the book, of course! Like I said, a good majority of teen-girls have. I've read the whole series, and as much as i like romance, lol, Twilight makes me gag with it's shallow-ness.
