AAA? I guess in the warmer climates, the hockey talent lags behind other parts of the country. Judging by skating ability alone, I saw some sloppy skaters with choppy edges in that video. I'm not hating on them, I just call it like I see it.

Just yesterday, I watched a kid who played for the wave when I used to play against them on TSN playing in the semifinals of the World Junior Hockey Championship. In my age group they won a national championship and these kids who are a year younger came close 2 or 3 times. So my guess is you never really played competitive hockey, otherwise you would know that the California Wave are consistently among the top teams in the country.

Actually yes, I DID play cpmpetitive hockey. But I am 26, so I played bantam AA forthe New Jersey Rockets 12 years ago. Things must be a lot different now. Hockey wasn't as big ten or twelve years ago as it is now in the U.S.

This is ridiculous... anyone who doesn't recognize the California Wave as a legit AAA hockey team hasn't played AAA hockey in the past 5 years (maybe longer). The team shown in this video (their 89 team) made it to the national championship at least once and their 88 team won nationals once.
