It's not, it's a silent. I can see where your idea comes from, though.

The most interesting question of course is why our monstery-friend is not in the official trailer posted on BBC's youtube page. The rest of the trailer's identical, the only thing missing is the Silent. I think the BBC unintentionally gave a bit too much away and have subsequently removed it for general viewing.

Look at the trailer they played at the end of the Christmas special. At the end of it, you see a suited 'grey' stood at the back of a dimly-lit room. That's a silent (or at least, what seems to be percieved by the forums as a Silent). I think that's why the BBC have ommited it from the trailer on their youtube page - they realised it gave far too much away, seeing as we assume the Silents are this series' 'big bad', and are being hyped up to the max.
