Varför har alla kyrkor sabbats med bänkar?

Ahh.. det er så det fer i meg å sjå dessa biletane. Eg var her i vesle barnrøynda mi..gamle gode Numedal. Lafta svalgangshus frå 1700-talet, rosemalte kistar og lefsar frå ho mor...eg hugsar me gjekk tørrskodd innandørs etter far mi tende opp i elden. Då var det godt med skonrokk i gammelstugu. Då låt bonden hevda frå kyra stå og gjekk så inn til duka bord. Nu for tida bur eg i Gudbarandsdalen, gamle fagre Ringsvea med utsyn over Jotunheimen.

Ah, one of the most beautiful small stave churches in Norway. This is something special :-)

The video does not do the interior justice: I've spent eight long summers working in that church, and the old decor is real colorful.

Oh, this was years ago and we were in a hurry while the fire department waited outside. Didn't even have proper lights. But I think I'd re-edit it in the Avid and use it differently in the future. To me, this is a period piece from the hectic day we were finally allowed into that place. This video is OLD now :-)
