I remember when I first heard this song I was camping with two old friends of mine. I had never heard of GITS, and I still haven't seen much of it. This is one of the best songs I've ever heard.
Something about it just has stuck with me for years now and I can't forget about it.
are you sure you know who you're talking about? hide from xjapan died in 1998. sac came out in 2003. it's not possible. and it does not say so in his discography. it's hideyuki takahashi and he calls himself HIDE in all caps. i can understand the confusion with all these different musicians calling themselves hide or hyde or whatever but if you check carefully it should make itself clear to you
It says artist is Hide in all info I can find, but I don't find any more songs by him. Does anyone have any more info? This isn't the HYDE guy from j-rock is it?

According to Wikipedia, Maaya Sakamoto and someone called "HIDE". However, the only people I can find that use the name are the guitarist of "Funta", and Hideto Matsumoto, but he's been dead for almost 10 years. Anyway, it's a fantastic song, one of my favourites from the GitS:SAC soundtracks.

hide is the vocalist of the song. Former guitarist of X JAPAN..R.I.P. doesn't sound like him hahaha. It awkawrd to hear him like this.

because it's not him. it's a rap artist named Hideyuki Takahashi. hide died long before gits came out

there is no such version. as i said, he didn't have anything to do with gits: sac. he was dead a good five years before the anime came out

Man, I'd forgotten about this song. I first heard it when I was about 13, and I was an anime freak...
I'm no longer an anime freak. I'm now a metalhead.
However, this song is pretty freaking awesome, even five years later. Makes me think of some times gone by.
