  • you are doing the hand stand push ups alittle wrong , your arms are too far from the wall that way you shorten your arm extend , try puting arms as close to the walls as possible atleast for me it gave alot more effect

  • Hey bar2009 I can now gain a firm handstand and hold for 5 minutes, I usually train this on the roof of a building.. close to the edge I do this because I know if i fall i'm in danger which pushes my body and mind to the limit I know this is ment for home but I just wanted to tell you how it has helped me, I can now hold my bodyweight for much longer, 10.2 stone, age 18 for 5 minutes and I'm only 5 ft 9 i feel is good ^^, I now have to go taekwondo, i'll spead the video.. thanks bro.

  • Hey, nice video, I do alot of parkour training and I've been attending a parkour academy for 3 years now, I'm 18 years old and I find these tips very usefull it has helped me to gain a firm grip, firstly I used to used a tree branch which I didn't find very effective on my grip I then tried the door frame and it was much harder I have now done that for 3 weeks, 3 times a way, and 15 pulls during my 1 hour workout at home and i gotta tell you.. my grip is growing rappidly..

  • its all good except the hand stand push ups, yes you did go all the way down but in your case that was a few inches, try putting your hands closer together. it will make your head farther from the ground

  • well if ur not an idiot u could do that with np...this video dont sux..but u wont get muscles so fast if u dont eat some steroids...but dont do that. keep doing that every day and u will get enought muscles, u will see, i did the same and i can say that i got pretty body.

  • Haha you well struggled with those "handstand push-ups" mate. I used to do them to show off when I was 13 at school. Havent done them in about 6 years so I'm gonna try some righ now 4 the laugh.

  • Why is it every time someone demos a 1 arm pushup, they never go right to the ground? This guys obviously strong and accomplished and I aint pickin on him,not sayin I can either. I just see it all the time?Is it impossible? Bad for the joints,tendons? Or an excuse? A set or two cant hurt might be good?.Same with pull ups only half videos if that show some one truly straightening there arms,or going all the way up and down.Calistenixkings,Bartender­s guys do it and that zesyo guy,but few others.

  • You should never go all the way to the floor in any push-up, it's bad for the elbow joint. You want to lower to about 90 degrees in the elbow then push up to almost straight. No lower nor higher.

  • If you haven't noticed his weight is supported by the sides of the doorframe (the vertical ones) he's not grabbing the middle. they're tough no matter how you try them. Fingers hurt like hell after about 5... then do another 5 of them!

  • Idk if the person who produced this video is in it BUT your range of motion seems sorta small. like when your doing your pushups and especially with the handstand pushups.

  • It might be intentional - you don't want to lock out your joints to constantly keep pressure on muscles and to prevent injuries. It also depends on your goal, sometimes you do sets of 8 full pull ups (slow down, fast up) and sometimes you do 20-30 in a very limited range of motion, but very fast. That also trains your ligaments more.

  • What goal would require you to do 40% or less of a pull up?

    And could i get some background on the ligaments thing and are you talking about plyometric pullups?

  • Yea, you can. What he does there trains your wrists as a secondary benefit to pull ups. You can also hold a pull up bar with with your fingers bent at the second joint from the tip. You want to practice that anyway before you try the door thing.

  • Do normal push ups, especially the diamond variety. You can also do shoulder push ups and just practice holding the handstand position. Andd you can do yoga crane stance (google it) push ups.

  • Not bad, but go down all the way on the one-armed pushups, the pullups, and the handstand pushups. Using the doorframe is a good idea because it will build grip strength.

  • I find it very hard to believe that someone would think that wasn't "going all the way down" on the push-ups, pull-ups, and handstand push-ups. It's kind of sad you want to critique something so bad that you actually fabricate errors. The funniest thing is his head touches the ground on the hand stand push-ups in particular; if that isn't going all the way down, then what is? Pushing his head through the floor?

  • My bad, dude. When I said go all the way down on the handstand pushups, I meant that he should've straightened his arm out all the way. With the pullups, I meant that he should've done straightened out his arms all the way, like in a dead-hang rep. With the pushups, I meant that he should've touched his chest to the floor.

  • lol...how are you gonna make your chest touch the floor on a one handed pushup? and why would you wanna make your chest touch the floor isn't that like slacking? A couple inches off the ground is a good point to stop and head back up.

  • No, it's not slacking unless you curve your back. I like to go down all the way because that way my one-armed pushups are done consistently each time. Just try it.
