i dont think it would have necessarily made it better, its just the way that he "shook" the whole shot. what u should do is take tracking data from an actual shot and apply them to the picture. ive done this numerous times and it always makes the picture seem more realistic by using actual human camera movement. THEN apply the shake to a 2nd null object.
