  • 3/20/10: You can still make calls to stop this bill. Many local Congressional offices are open Saturday, and many Congressmen are keeping their phone lines open this weekend. In fact, Obama's campaign sent out an urgent e-mail to his supporters urging them to call their Congressman this weekend. You can call your local Congressional office as well as the Congressional switchboard number at 202-224-3121, and you can tell them you OPPOSE this bill !!!

  • buwwahahahahah... loser. How is that waterloo going??

  • If this bill passes and you don't like this bill, you can also vote your Congressman or Congressman out of office if they vote for this bill, and you can contribute to the campaign of your choice who is running against your Congressman or Congresswoman if they vote for this bill and encourage everyone you know to do likewise. The Obama administration understands what campaign contributions mean. You can also vote the president and his administration out. This is far from over...

  • @buddy34

That is a very very naive statement. In this country we use electronic voting machines that are easily rigged. We cannot just vote out whoever we want. Promoting giving money to politicians is STUPID and possibly sinister in nature. Voting is not going to change this country until we have paper ballots and REAL non corporate candidates. Stop trying to get people to waste their hard earned money by giving it to politicians who you are saying will save you from the health care bill.

  • Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution stipulates that for any bill to become a law, it must pass both the House of Representatives and the Senate. That is, not be "deemed" to have passed, but actually be voted on with the support of the required majority. The bill must contain the exact same language in both chambers and in the version signed by the president to be a legitimate law.

  • If House Democrats pass a special rule that "deems" the Senate health care bill to have passed, allowing them to bypass an up-or-down roll call vote, it would be a violation of Article 1, Section VII of the U.S. Constitution...

  • 2/24/10: Obama unveiled his plan for health care reform on whitehouse (dot) gov on Monday. Pro-life legislators and advocates said the "new" proposal mostly mirrors the Senate bill and, in particular, would allow for tax dollars to be used to fund health plans that cover abortion...

  • "The health bill passed by the Senate in December (H.R. 3590) had become, by the conclusion of the Senate amendment process, the most expansively pro-abortion bill ever brought to the floor of either house of Congress since Roe v. Wade," Douglas Johnson, legislative director for the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), said in a statement issued on Monday...

  • Johnson said Obama's bill will not include the same prohibitions set forth in the Stupak amendment--named after Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Michigan)--which was part of the health care legislation passed earlier by the House of Representatives. Instead, Obama's bill allows federal funds to subsidize abortions through the structuring of programs and insurance plans...

  • @shahen13

Non-profit (front group) Planned Parenthood is currently funded, annually $300 Million by the fed, and there are no such guidelines that permit only rare cases. Evidently, It's okay to sneak around the "law".

Pelowski said "I don't want our listeners or viewers to get the wrong impression..." She meant, I don't want them to know THE TRUTH. TRICKERY!

Sebelius Praises Abortion Accounting Trick in Senate Bill

  • Why would anyone believe a word Pelosi says. There is video after video on here that catches her in lies. And Obama would sell his soul to get this monster bill passed that is BAD for America and goes against the very principles that started this Great Nation. This kind of legislation is exactly what we declared independence over. NO OBAMACARE.

  • Of course, she is a lying bitch. The Senate bill contains funding for abortions. That's why they can't pass their own stinking bill. The BlueDogDems don't want it in there.

  • You pay for your healthcare, and I'll pay for mine, Mkay?

  • If abortion isn't in the bill, as Pelosi and the administration claims, why have they not allowed a pro-life amendment on the bill? If it's not in there, as all the liberals here keep saying, why not make it official and pass an amendment explicitly stating it? It would be redundant and harmless, and it would enable the pro-life Coalition led by Bart Stupak to support the bill, which would give Pelosi enough votes.

Odd, no? Also, the big pro-abort groups all support the legislation.

  • so true fabiius! there is NO language in the bill that specifically BANS federally funded tax dollas for abortion either directly or through various "community groups."

  • Couple points:

There are multiple ways the Senate Bill is pro-abortion. It would be pro-abortion due to a proposed $7 billion special earmark for community health centers with legal authority to fund abortions.

The general proposal to subsidize insurance plans includes plans which cover abortion, and the govt would help pay premiums.

The Hyde Amendment is an annually renewed rider attached to HHS procurement on Medicaid, it doesn't affect the bill at all.

  • all these liars need to be arrested

  • wait a minute... politicians lie? /facepalm

  • This is bullsh*t

  • in a word, yes it bullshit.

    in another word, liar.

Obama is a liar and a thief.

  • Chet Edwards (D) will vote No on the health-care bill ! Chet votes the way his district wants!

  • so...I read the abortion language in the bill, it seems to outlaw it pretty good.

Maybe instead of doing a dramatic heartbeat and voice clips, take 5 minutes to explain the language and how exactly you could sneak federal dollars into abortions.

Not to say I think they should, it is important for people to do fact based videos against bills, however you did not, in this video, go into enough detail.

  • I would love to see the conspiracy theory that took over 40 years for the government to take over healthcare. The things that have changed and the problems caused to make the government the hero. Where have their sneeky little dealings been. This is the governments conspiracy against people. All governments dealings and wars and famons etc.. Governments should be outlawed. It is a insane, delusional and deranged creation as is religion and science. Stop the ignorance don't eat meat.

  • "Governments should be outlawed"

who is going to outlaw them?

  • All people start by stopping the eating of meat. That compounds that you have control over what they condone. All crime must stop. The overpopulation problem has to decline. This is how it will happen. And the only way it can effect how people that control masses lose that ability. They control because the individuals won't or don't.They will then lose their ability to advise, control or create fear in the public and the public will realize there is no reason for them. Actions outlaw them. But

  • Is grhc going to increase the national debt? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to take away your freedom to choose? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to force children to take flu shots whether the parents like it or not? FACT:Yes.

  • You can't call something Fact when it hasn't happened already.

  • @BrightHumanist LOL Ok Mr. Dinghead, It's a fact that one day you're going to die, it hasn't happened already, but it's a FACT!

Is that simple enough for your BrightHumanist brain to comprehend? LOL

  • So you prefer to stick your head in the sand and wait for that day?

You are part of the problem, not the answer.

  • Is government run health care going to raise your taxes? FACT:Yes.

Is grhc going to save more lives? FACT:No.

Is grhc going to cost more than what you're paying the insurance companies now? FACT:Yes.

  • @demonpreyer

The last one I'm not so sure. Not saying it won't just not sure,YET. Anyway. How much the government makes on it? Yes That is guaranteed. This has taking 40 or so many years for the government to dig their greedy paws into this subject and lock in the government to make a HEALTHY profit. My guess is they created the reasoning for health care to raise and all these problems to get control of it. If you disbelieve that then your naive Plotting our demise is big business's business

  • @krrrruptidsoless The: "going to cost more than what you're paying the insurance companies now"

A young person that is healthy that is paying $2500 a year for his plan. will have to pay the amount i'm paying to have the same coverage. I have major medical($12,000 a year). That's the plan these bills are forcing everyone to get. What you think they'll be covered for major medical for just $2500 a year? Think not. To do that the government would have to totally control all healthcare.

  • I don't stand to pay a penny of taxes to cover you or anyone else with healthcare. it's not my job to pay your way through life.

Laws for pre-existing conditions don't need a tax or the government starting up a committee or have a mandate that forces everyone to buy insurance from a private health insurance company.

why is it so hard for you dumb ass liberals to understand something so simple?

  • We are expecting a government that has completely FAILED at managing the post office and AMTRACK, but we want them to work out something with HEALTHCARE??? WIll you liberals please read the Constitution first and then reword your progessive, Communist comments? You sound retarded.

  • @BrightHumanist their healthcare system sucks, they're tax rates are high and so is their unemployment.

  • they live longer because our diet is the absolute worst anywhere in the world. The UN gives higher health care rankings to socialized health care nations, not according to who has the highest success rates. Anyone who has money comes here for surgery.

So I'm wrong on only one point.

  • No it's not bickering. Bickering is thinking that killing 40k a year of of not yet born Americans just so sorry ass fathers don't have to pay for their own kids they helped to make. And tax the rest of the nation to do so.

I take it you have no problem killing babies, just as long as you don't have to be called daddy.

You have no problem killing babies but yet have a problem spending tax dollars killing grown men terrorist.

  • Yes if they are mine. will I jump in front of a bus for yours and I don't know you. Most likely not. I would have no problem beating you ass in to a mud hole for not caring for your kid allowing him to run in front of a bus.

It's you responsabilty to insure your kids and me mine. Not the rest of the nation.

  • agreed fpm229. Incidentally, that's more pro-life than George Bush or John McCain.

  • @BrightHumanist Are you stuck in the sixties? You must work for PP.

  • The #1 insurer that denies insurance calims is MEDICAR AND MEDICADE AH- AH- AH- THAT WOULD BE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT.

  • The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal Medicaid and Medicare money from being spent on most types of abortion, including pregnancies that threaten the womans health or involve fetal anomalies. Federal money can only be used to pay for an abortion when the pregnancy threatens the life of the woman or results from rape or incest.

  • Here's the problem, "NO TAX DOLARS ARE ALLOWED TO BE SPENT ON ANY ABORTION"

They can take the money out of their own pockets and pay for their own abortion.

  • if Obama follows the constitution, and sends the senta bill through and it passes. There is no public option in the senate bill. He can't even admend it. But that's if he is not a liar. From when he said he would defend the United States Constitution. but we know Obama is a born liar.

The house bill with public option is worded that no money can be used. The senate bill it can.

if a woman for any reason wants an abortion she can pay for it herself out of her own pocket.

  • @thevirtueallliberal You've got to be kidding! Can't you read?

Who needs the government getting involved in things between me and my doctor anyway.

And remember, the republicans can change it all when they are in charge.

This whole Obamacare thing has gone off the rails.

And how are we going to pay for it?

  • AH another liberal Jr high drop out that can't read.

  • But are you smart? You've been arguing with someone who voted for Obama.

But you aren't thinking when it comes to this bill.

And again I ask - who's going to pay for it?

This president has squandered such promise in so short of a time.

And why are you blaming republicans? We don't need a SINGLE vote to pass anything. The problem is that this bill has so many flaws that even democratic legislators can't vote for it.

All the while more and more people are losing jobs......

  • And again I ask - how are we going to pay for it?

  • It doesn't take a genius to see that the language presented states that the law that exists regarding federal funding of abortion will not change. Not only this but it is retroactive 6 months so if by some miracle law controlling federal funding of abortions were to change the day before the health bill passes all procedures under this bill would still abide by the old rules.

If you are fooled by this video your English language skills are seriously lacking.

  • no they will not abide by the old law. The new law will over ride the old law.

  • They are not changing law, they are just upholding current legal laws. The funding for these programs are already provided for by other government programs, public health care will simply allow people to use the programs that are already in place. Is that what everyone is so upset about? No lying, just trying to break down some of the fear-mongering.

  • Lying ass liberals.

  • the minute they wake up and start talking in the morning, it is a lie.

  • LOL, again I see here that the libs have no clue. You cant see the forest through the trees. You couldnt see the truth when its sittng on your faces. You lib retards have no soul. Keep pushing your un-constitutional agenda and there will be civil war. We win because you pussies dont own guns.

  • The 6 months reference is that when the Senate bill becomes the law of the land, then six months after its enactment, it will be the law to which new health plans will be subject, as the section in the video explains.

  • It's not a question of changing the law in terms of "what abortions are permissible and what aren't."

It's a question of what money will be spent on abortions, how much or how little the government would like to subsidize abortion. The oft-cited Hyde Amendment only pertains to Medicaid, not the Health Care bill, so it doesn't come into play.

So govt. is leaving the law alone, and throwing massive amounts of money for abortion services.

  • lol republicans cant read. Hilarious how they show the part of the bill that shows pelosi is telling the truth. Learn reading comprehension.

  • Amazing!

You hold up the document, which proves their point. I don't understand conservatives.

Keep your government hands off my medicare

  • read what it says:

abortions FOR WHICH public funding is allowed.

... is permitted, BASED ON THE LAW AS IN EFFECT of the date 6 months before the beginning of the plan year involved.

  • THE LAW IS NEUTRAL!!

It does not ALTER existing law in anyway.

It merely works in accordance with it.

  • You idiots might want to fact-check this before making comments.

  • Liar (D)

Insert politician's name and state - it's pretty much a template

  • 0:33 - The "...based on the law as in effect..." is referring to the Hyde Amendment, which currently prohibits federal funding for abortions except in cases of rape, incest or the endangerment of the mother. This has been in effect since 1993 and is not changing in the senate bill.

  • Which means that in the case of "rape, incest or the endangerment of the mother" federal funding could be used for abortion?

  • ... and one could get a doctor to claim the "endangerment" applies at the drop of a hat. That is a BIG loophole.

  • Uh oh Barry.. Good thing you didn't tell Pelosi to say " Trust Me"!

That' might have been bad. eh!

  • In before the spin begins!

  • Thank you for exposing their lies.
