Pretty hardy, he jumped out, knocking off my glass cover and some heavy weights...was out for 6-8 hours and breathing in the morning, after being out that long, all hope was lost though. Swim bladder is what kept him going for even that long.
same thing happened with one of my senegal 1 month ago :(
He squeezed out from his tank from just barely more than 1 cm gap of my glass lid. and his size was already more than 15 cm!I found him one morning dried already covered with dusts from the floor! I screamed out loud when I found him!! Then...after the scream I thought...shit..we didn't realize how fish freaks we are dude! Lol! But all's good!! Fish rules!!

Same diet as all polypterids, pellets, fish fillet, anything with meat.
You're tank will be too small for either of the species in this vid though...

Yep.....oh....I have them "hand feeding" worms from long tongs. Very cool ! They fight over the worms also very funny to watch !
