@DarkDain the most powerful armies strike when the enemy least expect it. Moving quickly is the best way to win a war, it always have been. You should read up on your history my friend. The Germans in recent years, very good at "lightning Warfare" moved fast and struck hard. Nobody could keep up with them...until they slowed down.

And leaving any cannon in fire mode is a bad idea...if an army splits, attacks them from both sides...one side first drawing fire, then the other moves in...Tactics.

Sadly that isn't the strongest army...it can be out flaked very easily...run through by cavalry, or shot up by 50 muskets....add some howitzers or mortars and your set.

@TestsRunescape Some...most people who play Age of Empires...or any rts for that matter...use strategy...when the cannons are on the move...they are vulnerable, takes time to set up...unlike infantry and cavalry, they are ready at an instant...and can out maneuver as well as out run the cannons...and they are available without cheat codes...lol...cheap effective...the most powerful armies fight smarter, not harder. Oh...and one of these can't take out 50 in one shot...tried it

i played dutch in WCG 2006 malaysia and won bronze. hunts/cows for food, banks for infinte gold and 2 factories for woods. with abundance resource you can spam troops. 30 helberdiers for meat shields, 10 falconets, and hussars to cover the flanks. 3 howitzers for destroying the towers. this is my last formation. other tactics include pikemen rush, killing settlers, control cherokees, spies. oh btw,cheats for noobs :)
