After the credits, when you see the Professor-type guy talking to some government official guy in a dark laboratory looking place then all of a sudden you see Loki's reflection and you're wondering like WTF? I THOUGHT HE DIED.

Loki is a ShapeShifter and he didn't die, he just let go of Thor's hand so instead of being pulled back to their world, he landed his ass back on Earth.
