  • The man who was in the house during the murder fled the crime scene, then he fled the country, when caught he said he was innocent, then he said 2 strangers committed the murder but he can't remember what they looked like, then he said the was listening to his IPOD in the toilet really loudly during the murder, then he apologised to Meredith's family even though he claims to be innocent, then he gets 16 years taken off his sentence even though the court doesn't believe a word he says! HELLO!!!

  • A murderess.

  • A murderess

  • thank god shes in italy america would give her thedeath sentence

  • I suspect this is what actually happened:

Rudy Guede came to the house first and went to see Meredith and decided to take advantage of the situation. His DNA was inside her and that is not disputed, and he admits sexual contact with her.

Meredith fought back and probably said something offensive (perhaps referring to his colour/race). He stabbed her in revenge (defacto, the motive of the crime).

Amanda and Raffaele arrived and decided to help Guede cover up the crime.

  • This makes NO SENSE! They were not close friends!! Why would they not help Meredith??and help Guede to clean up his murder scene!? And why didnt they FLUSH the loo?

Why didnt they call an ambulance?? It took her a long time to die! They could have saved her!

  • Rudy Guede was a drugs dealer, almost certainly carried a knife, was linked to Amanda and Raffaele through drugs dealings. Guede was the only one to run away after the crime - Raffaele and Amanda did not, the only credible DNA evidence links Guede to Meredith and the 'other knife' found in Raffaele's apartment was not the one that stabbed Mredith but it does suggest they were present and used it (possibly cutting Meredith's bra strap).

  • I dont think running way proves anything - if Amanda ran away after her flat mate was murdered it would be obvious that she did it....

But I have read up on the facts that I was not aware of Guede's case and I understand his conviction was not based on his skin color. However one of the 3 helped MK but could not save her and I would say that it was Guede...

  • From what I read Guede claimed that after going to the loo he returned and found MK bleeding. He said he put a towel on her, then went to a disco, and ran away to Germany in the morning. The prosecution 'hypothesised' the involvement of R & A, who gave conflicting stories hence they came under suspicion. R, R & A colluded but why?

  • The reason why the prosecution "hypothesized" the involvement of more than Rudy Guede - ie; AK and RS was:

1- It was proven through forensics that there was more than one murderer

2- The body was moved from its position when MK died and remained for quite some time to another position by the bed. A break in and sexual assault was staged.

The fact that the body was moved is NOT disputed by any party. Proven by forensic scientists.

There were also other elements that implemented a clean up.

  • @gan68g

Please explain why AK and RS would help RG clean up a murder?

  • Obviously one can only offer hypotheses based on partial information as we are not privy to all the evidence. AK and MK were, however, heard arguing (possibly about drugs) that night, and a witness said he saw all 3 outside the flat and RS was thretening with a knife. As MK appeared to be opposed to 'loose' behaviour/drugs she would have resisted the advances of RG and disapproved of AK's behaviour. The 'truth' may emerge one day but the moral here is 'choose your friends very carefully.'

  • I'm glad she will face 26 years behind bars..........She should pay for what she did to Meredith.

  • @Deaser100 how do u know she did that to Meredith Kercher? only god knows what really happened , but if she did do it the truth will come out . Meredith Kercher was a sweet girl to those who knew her. the truth will come out one day. but i am not saying that u r wrong but wait , the truth will come out!

  • @Deaser100 have you even looked at the evidence? Dude, this is honestly such an improper trial that occured in italy .1. Not a single damn footprint/handprint/fingerprint in the BLOODY HELL mess near meredith's body. 2. No motive/pre-meditation or logical evidence 3. ONLY DNA evidence is on a knife that didnt match-and US scientists/global scientists say that evidence was cross-contaminated. 4. THE ONLY witness was some damn heroin addict!-He's a homeless guy who tries to get paid for trials

  • @Deaser100 5. The stupid ass prosecutor-Mignini was under trial TWICE for fraud/improper practices, and the "confession" was forced. Imagine being interrogated in a foreign language-one that you barely spoke for 10 hours through the night without water/food, etc. Look kercher died way too young, but honestly its a disagrace and TERRIBLE luck that knox was her roommate. I mean, independent retired FBI agents looked at the evidence too-they have no bias

  • 25 years is taking this gilr's life away too and the young boyfriend. That court system and jury should've been more considerate of that than just wanting to convict people (anyone) of the girl's murder. Just because Amanda lived in the same place & her & her roomate had disagreements doesn't mean she would kill her or standy by & watch 2 men kill her. If that happened she would've probably run the hell out of there scared to hell thinking she could be next & go to the police.

  • I don't believe she's guilty. There hasn't been any solid evidence. And what are the chances that 3 people spontaneously decided killing was okay, especially when one of them is an educated 21 year old girl. Give me a break! They are convicting her of what? This can't be 1st degree murder because it was not planned. Realize this is Italy & they won't have the same rules applying to trials & convictong people. There it seems like guilty until proven innocent. I think the black guy acted alone.

  • Very odd comment SFgiants20. "Glad SHE was found guilty". If all is true, there were 3 people involved and 2 of them are Men! Why would you only blame her?

  • Good glad she is guilty I hope she gets the shit beaten out of her in prison, just like what she did to that innocent woman.

  • guilty...26 years! her boyfriend 25 years!

  • Douglas Preston, a well know author, wrote a book about another murder case, a mass-murderer actually, and how the Italian court system in this area, in fact the exact official involved in Amanda's case, are wacko and incompetent. The Monster of Perugia case shows clearly how these law officials shouldn't be allowed to run a case ever again.

  • i don't want her to come back to seattle... i'm scared to live in a same town wiht her if she is found not guilty!!!! cross fingers for GUILTY!!!

  • If she was involve in the murder, i hope she does time, if she didn't I hope she goes home.
