  • You are great!! But why there was japanese writing in the blue background?

  • Apparently, 56 people can do it better...

  • The cutaway guitar is a Washburn and the replica was called an ES -20 but that was in 2008 and is no linger made .

Gibson are going to produce one soon called 'LA PISTOLA' but date not known.

  • @stones187 Hi There! The Guitar you refer to is a Washburn ES20 the Eric Sardinas Signature model! Unfortunately no longer available. You may be lucky and occasionally find a second hand one Hope his helps!

  • please tell me what type of guitar he is playing at 3:40.... i need to go buy this, its amazing. Thank you

  • great smile and style i hop see him one day in real !!! fireeeeee

  • Eric Sardinas is the most awesome slide guitar player and a sincerely nice guy!! I go see him jam EVERY time he comes to the Cleveland Ohio area!!! If you get a chance to see him live..DO IT..you will not regret or forget the experience!!!

  • Spoke to Eric after a gig at Chan's in Woonsocket RI a few years ago. Pretty cool guy. Unlike most blues-rock guys, he has a lot of hard rock fans in his audiences as well, due to opening shows for Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. If you like these demo performances, you absolutely HAVE to check him out in a full-fledged concert atmosphere. Simply amazing.

  • Eric is So Underrated.I hope someday is gets a little more attention than He has so Far.

  • right on

  • EPIC Sardinas

  • DUDE YOU ARE AWESOME !!!

  • WTF!!!!!

  • WTF!!!!! anmazing

  • My sound dosent work

  • Does anyone know what guitar is this which he plays, until 5:02? I can't find this model anywhere!

  • @CubeableGame Probably a custom made dobro. Definitely not stock.

  • Just been in the mood for some slide... Love to get this guys slide on my new cd...

  • What is the tuning used in the demo number 3?

  • @PieroAlbertoSpinetta Open D with capo on 2nd fret.

  • Man stop doing drugs!!! I was so sad to see you guys all soooo wasted!

You are amazing,id dare to say the best living guitarist!

    Respect!

  • saw him live this summer...amazing!

  • at 1;57 thats the unmistakable sound of someone opening a zippo lighter ..how cool is that? nice playin homeboy

  • Danm, that's an awesome guitar!

  • Eric Sardinas destroys any shredder, and its good to see people like Eric Sardinas keep the spirit of the delta Blues alive

  • Yeah... This guy sold his soul to the devil for that blues licks! :D

  • wish i had a possum skin vest

  • i love how every demonstration ends with "ping pow weeeeeeeee...POINK!" xD

  • @NemoTn auhuahuaua that's cool!!! xD

  • @NemoTn hahahaha nice :D

  • Cutaway guitar is in Open G, and the other in Open D, is it?

  • yea there probably 52 emos that hit thumbs down

  • do you realize that 52 people DIDN'T like this?

  • And just by coincidence he looks like Steve Vai and like Eric Marcovik. Guess all awesome dudes look the same.

  • Even tho the old garbage cans have wound up being the traditional slide machines, compared with a high action strat or the like, they are harder to get the individual notes out. Eric has his plugged in which helps. Great playing - even if he does look like a 70's pimp.

  • I saw him live in 2000 opening for Steve Vai. Can`t forget those incredible high pitch slides. Great performance. The shame his not more popular.

  • shoot me up baby

  • Great !

  • I've got a lot of respect for anyone who takes the time to teach, or give a secret or two. That just shows that ego doesn't come before the music. Rory Gallagher is still my favorite, but I'm grateful I got turned on to this. Great tunes.

  • 0:39........ Oh my god

  • Damn good but no Bob Brozman

  • @TheNeonRabbit Brozman would have the big one if he could play half of this,,

his just a slick rich boy

  • @KINGSLIDEGUITAR It's a question of control just like when metal players crank up the fuzz and can suddenly play twice as fast. As I said, Sardinas here's damn good. There's no denying that but it's a trade-off. He's doing some very flashy stuff but he's sloppy. You won't hear all that slide noise on the strings not being played with Brozman. Maybe you like all that extra rattle, think it sounds bluesy or whatever. That's cool. Musical taste is very subjective.

  • @TheNeonRabbit

yea its subjective Brozman plays like a slick educated

learned machine,, like a secretary typing.. only difference is the secretary has more soul... of course the boss over the secretary says soul is sloppy typing..

  • @TheNeonRabbit I agree. To me, guys like this seem to be trying to falsely embody something that has long passed, the delta blues singer. The demographic these guys were catering to no longer like this music. The blues was about rocking the night away, getting people drunk and getting the money rolling so you'd get booked again. We no longer need to play sloppily in order to attract attention. Syncopation is key. If you haven't heard of him which I think you might have, check out John Fahey.

  • not bad but more posing than playing.

  • @miqdeb13

    hi...I didn't see any posing.

  • thanks for taking the time to upload this

  • That guitar may violently explode at any second. He has a ridiculously aggressive attack.

  • You got it....

  • I think I'll stay with Ry Cooder =))

  • man, i love you!

    from Brazil!

  • He's simply amazing.

  • whats on his right hand finger. black tube?

  • @RedHouseX Nope, the black thing is simply a large ring with an oblong black stone in it. Apart from that he has a brass slide ove rhis little finger

  • @RedHouseX

I think it's black electrical tape

  • @RedHouseX

It's probably black electrical tape to protect his finger from getting marred by his upstroke

  • I've seen him 3 times. Great show, excellent player!

  • jojojo!!

  • he makes a lot of funny faces while he plays ^ ^ lmao

  • april 8th! vegas!!!!!!!!!! Im so there Eric! you da man! Lee.

  • My head exploded after the first minute.

  • @IronLion27 the mount everest of all slide masters

  • Yes you are the best :-)

    I love you from switzerland...

  • always sardinas !!

  • O.o its great!!! jajajajja Good 5 stars!

    from Chile!!! ;)

  • what does he mean with open G and open D in the discription? are there capos who can take a few strings an not just six? plz response my question :)

  • No, it's just a different way to tune the guitar, open D is DADF#AD if I'm not mistaken and the capo just makes it "open E" as it brings all the notes two steps up. Can't remember what open G is but you can look it up.

  • Also, the capo allows slightly different dynamics in terms of playing "openly"-if that makes any sense...guess what im trying to say is the capo shortens the scale, therefore you're not relying on using 3 or 4 note chords , whereas the tuning allows a "droning" sound and the chord "sound" can be achieved with 2 fretted notes or 1.....

  • seeing him in March with Popa Chubby

  • i never get tired of watchin this guy play!!

  • mate you have heeps of talent

  • seeing him tuesday cant friggin wait! Eric and Johnny Winter.thats the best. live this guy is unreal.

  • electroman

  • thats what you call "PLAYING!"

  • What kind of resonator guitar is that?

  • i dont like it

  • WANNA PLAY LIKE THIS!!!!

  • I like how he snaps the low e every time, lol.

  • this is really good stuff

  • The blues ain't supposed to be nice and clean, Sir.

  • But you have to agree that acting part is not blues, Sir?

  • whats that second guitar?

  • it's kinda rare to hear guys who REALLY how to know to use the slide. and when they know what the hell they're doing, this is what it sounds like! raises hair. good one eric!

  • Woah pretty damn bad!!

  • I play normal gguitar, but i just this resonator and i dont know much about it do i need one of those thing on his thumb??

  • no thats just another pick.

  • What's that thing on his pointer?

  • Very slick & cool...

  • Why is it that every God-like guitarist that has/will ever lived ... Wear such weird clothing?

  • maybe thats the trick??? You should try :)

  • Sweet, i went to his concert last month, got totally hammered, went backstage and had a nice chat with the man and his band, hes really badass, but also a great guy :))

  • ERIC RULES!!!

  • Man, that chick can play!

  • that was a joke, no?

  • its a dude u moron, what kinda girl is called eric?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey man, take that back. She's no dud. Erica's one of the best guitar players I've seen.

  • @BLuEsHayZee Yeah, pretty much.

  • Eric man you are truly one amazing player, you have backed the likes of Steve vai, but to be honest you are in a different class, you are faultless, on the RES.

  • where does he buy his clothes? fuckin amazing, something out of the past indeed. true musician.

  • thats perfect!!

    greets from germany

  • FODAAA!!!

  • I'm not sure if this is what Eric does, but what i do myself is put one capo under the strings and one over them so the action is higher... He seems to have two capos as well.. is that the reason why?

  • Very interesting!

I have another, more urgent question though. Why does he capo to A when he wants to teach open G to beginners. I want to learn the patterns in open G, so I can eventually improvise a bit. These are excellent licks, but it's just too much work to reverse to open G. Why not teach open G and then say "if you want it in open A, just capo and play blindly"?

  • cure the sick, feed the poor, peace in the world.

  • cure the sick, feed the poor, play the blues!
