  • u could never mistake this bass playing as anybody but JPJ himself. it almost sounds like hes playing his lemon song bass lines

  • @Pepper2Jason well because both songs are in the key of E7

  • @pepperc2900 that too. haha

  • Sounds like "The Lemon Song".

  • ohhh jimmy you and your broken strings.

  • man JPJ is a monster on the bass, but where's Jimmy? I was expecting a crazy solo. Ah well, still sounds damn good. Thank you for posting these.

  • Didn't you listen to the opening, He broke a string and so while page was changing a string they p;ayed. and he proubly didnt want to interupt the jam that they were playing

  • Plant's voice sounds fantastically powerful.

  • yeah, you can tell this is from very early on cause he's dispensing those mighty wails constantly and he's so in control of his range. he sounds exactly like he did on the self-titled albums. it's the sound that made him an icon and a trendsetter. on bootlegs from just a few years later, you can already hear that he was generally being more careful with his voice.

  • @shadowofmorgoth Very well said

  • How many shows did they do at this point?...not that many, have you ever thought of it ;)

    Being there...

  • They had been together about 7 months, but had been touring/playing nonstop. The first album had been out about two months. These guys clicked from the moment Bonham started playing.

Do I wonder? Yeah, I'd like to get in my time machine and just hang with Led Zeppelin thru their first year. Wouldn't need much after that.

  • If I could choose...i'd go back to Hawaii 1969! That must have been a sweet one

    Rock on

  • This is the 1st I heard this one. Does sound like a making of BRING IT ON or should I say an updated version, Zep Style. Anyway, pure explortation here. Yeah!

  • Sometimes you want to shorten, abbreviate, a song. That's all.

Bring in on HOME...Is that better for you?

  • no, it's bring IT on HOME

  • I do know my ZEP. Believe me !

Just a typo and a fast reply.

    Carry on mate !o)

  • @zeppelinstrat its Blues.. its all the same progression 1,3,5 E,A,E,B,A...it sounds like every blues song becasue they are all in the same progression

  • @pepperc2900 Oh I know this one isn't Bring it on Home. I was correcting someone who said it sounded like "bring it on".

  • havent heard these in yrs man. good stuff!!

  • pepper if you got the entire concert i'd love to hear the rest...i had this and one similar to this concert (two near the same time) that were absolutely wicked...my favorite versions of these songs and as long as i have you and for your love...please by all means keep them coming...

  • Who said it sounds like Bring It On Home? I Gotta Move is I Gotta Move.

  • jonesy is the man

  • Great Sound!!

  • Interesting hearing led zeppelin without Jimmy page. Roberts rocking nicley by himself.

  • sounds like the begining of bring it on home

  • how do you get that? :S

  • @pepperc2900 i think he means robert's harmonica. that's all i could get. but thats because robert did alot of the same type of licks on the harp

  • yea it does the harmonica solo
