The Super Show did a much better job at portraying Mario and Luigi, despite the series' many faults. Particularly with Luigi, where in the SMBSS, he is afraid of any danger but at the end of the day still incredibly loyal, and always pulls through. I think the whole greed thing he has in this anime was really out of character.

@RaccoonMario64 I think it's a tie between the American and Japanese. After all, I think the Anime got Bowser and Peach better than Super Show did. In SMBSS, Bowser has zero interest in Peach, and Peach was actually assertive rather than a helpless damsel in distress steriotype that she is in this anime, which I think she's *supposed* to be. But as far as Luigi goes, you're right. I think they were steriotyping him too much. They threw greed in with all the other usual silly sidekick traits.
