  • This song makes me love being a baritone.

  • Such EMOTION.... it made me cry and I'm proud to say it

  • I have a recording of my grandad singing this :) rip i miss you

  • what'd they score?

  • How can I get my hands on this version of the song? I bought the music from the society but its missing the amazing ending and many of the lush embellishments. Thanks in advance!

  • @StreetzMDV I transcribed this arrangement if you're interested in it

  • Hey, I would love to get my hands on that transcription please.

  • @drewjbonner Hey, I'm interested in the arrangement. How can I get it??

  • It's the baritone cracking. Actually.

  • @VsAcesOver when does he crack? at 3:07 right? It's a strange crack though, like his voice completely turns off for a split second then cracks back in, on pitch lol

  • Does anyone have notation of the new addition to the tag?

  • Barbershop before juke boxes, when music was music, men were men, and women were glad glad of it......

  • nice

  • Everybody always blames the tenor or bari! The bari is never wrong and the tenor usually is! But that was the LEAD at 3:07

  • @Phil42x Definitely was the bari who cracked.

  • @joshbeswick By God, I think you might be right! I'm going to turn him in to the League of Perfect Baritones! :-) Guess I'll have to turn in my ear, too......

  • @Phil42x it may be written as the lead part in that spot, but Bari takes the high chest and cracks for a split. I'm glad he did though, cause I was starting to get really jealous.

  • @bordonthestreet it wasn't written that way, wheelhouse created it that way. They just thought it would be more dynamic. Or so I've heard

  • @Phil42x it wasn't the lead, there was a little voice exchange there, and the bari is actually higher than the lead at that point.

  • my dad is on the far left. no lie

  • swedish house mafia version is better

  • i know who im backing for the 2010 BHS Competition =)

  • How many of you recognize this as an early (1915) Irving Berlin song? Written by a Russian immigrant, English was not his native language - yet it's a classic!

  • @Nuance5 And somehow, the lyrics are just great.

  • lol I never noticed this before... 4:07 hilarious body worm and vocal crack from tenor on the close wtf!

  • This is beautiful.

  • wow, ive only heard the tag, that was beutiful

  • Haha Tenor 1 voice crack at 3:07

  • its actually a baritone crack. But its not huge.

  • It's a good rendition. It was pretty noticeable though.

  • Think you're hearin bari there.

  • pretty sure it was the baritone

  • the bari ending makes up for it and more though :p

  • 3:10 to about 3:25....so awesome. Gives me the jitters...

  • Everyone please listen to 2:54 - 2:56...that was truly BEAUTIFUL!

  • The bari did a mighty fine job...

That's my favorite part in this song, especailly ze tag!

  • *especially

  • ingramlove .....Great stuff! I get SO tired of everyone on here becoming a critic! Why can't people on here be positive and enjoy. Didn't your mothers ever tell you that if you can't say anything nice....?

  • Hear hear!!

  • I really like wheelhouse, but the lead guy kinda pisses me off.

  • I love Barbershop of any sort. These guys just need a little more pollish, and they could really go places in the BHS.. Keep it up !

  • hey, are these guys still together? I just got the urge to check up on them after a LONG time of not hearing their music, and their Myspace is still up, but I can't find an official website of theirs. I hope they haven't broken up, I always thought these guys had something special!

  • As goofy as he looks when he sings, I actually like the tenor in this quartet.

  • poor guy looks like he's in pain reaching for those high notes - singing barbershop tenor is really difficult - I used to do it - and badly!

  • but its worth it if you want the crowd to be the pleased!

  • Oh my gosh they sang a major seventh at :13, :54, and 3:18, what's barbershop coming to?? (yes I know the 7th is in the melody, it was just a joke)

  • awesome arrangement - especially the extention of the well-known tag

  • Sounds really good... I don't dig their look I'm afraid.

  • I agree wholeheartedly. Great sound, but it looks like they were caught in the middle of dinner.

  • I thought I had heard good 4 part, but these guys have it.

    Fantastic.

    jdt

  • Awesome baritone moment at 3:20!

  • 3:14...wow

  • the tag is actually preety good too bad they left the contest

  • anyone know who arranged this?

  • 3:50 is a chord that just sounds so full and thick. wow

  • eww

  • why did you take 'in the wee small hours' off? I love that! Any chance it will be goin back up?

  • go to their homepage all their vidoes are on there=)

  • Sounds good to me!

  • you will be dearly missed!

  • You will be missed in Nashville and beyond! Good luck to you all and take care. ;)

  • he IS the man!

  • not a barber shop fan..but you guys are a class act and very talented...well done nice control, compliments from australia

  • I thougt that was a great tag! Love it! AWESOME!

  • If you want more bbs videos, tags, 2007 denver competition sets please post a thread at the barbershop community board on youtube... The link is on my page...

  • I have to disagree... The singers are great, but I really don't like the blend...

  • awsome!!!great song, great blending, great lead! dynamics are incredible...A+...one of the best barbershops i've heard so far

  • this is by far one of my favorite quartets. they have an awesome blend. And the chord structures they use are so unique. AWESOME!

  • I like the Leads voice, it has a nice warmth that you don't get from a lot of leads. It's different, but a good different, and I think they make it work well, especially in some of the other videos and recordings I've heard.

  • i heard the bari crack his voice towards the end.... lead does have a diff blend

  • really? that at the part trade at 3:52 ? I hardly noticed it, till I saw you said it lol. Otherwise, I think he's the big gears behind the Wheel~

  • wait.. isn't it the bass cracking at 3:51 ?

  • yup.. hes crackalackin! lol

  • i certainly was....
