Crime per capita is much higher in The Bahamas than it is anywhere in the U.S. Its a beautiful set of Islands but rapes and murders per capita is one of the worst in the world. I have first hand knowledge of that since I am a Bahamian and my father had his brains blown out while on his job. Crime has touched most families here in one way or another. Lets not even get into the robberies and break ins.

Ofcourse there are issues in the bahamas. But you have to think reasonably. Crime, rape, etc are found all over the world. Maybe you should gain some knowledge and respect before you try to stereotype a whole nation a certain way.

A boat that cruises up and down the harbour with Jungle music playing, 95 % of the people on it are young bahamians, famous for their violence, drugs and crime. Not to Mention they drool over all the tourist girls, say anything they want to you and think they can touch you. They are rude pigs, disgusting to look at and most women would rather die than give it up for that.

I've been to 11 caribbean countries, and live here in the Bahamas now. Not by choice, this place is horrible, and expensive. People are nasty, service is poor, everything costs a fortune, and the people act as though your a cash cow and try to milk you 24/7. Trust me , dont come here.

This place is nasty. If you must come here, go to Atlantis and stay on resort property for safety. And keep your young daughters away from the local men. Highest incedence of rape per capital in the world.

well news flash every country has its share of problems. i am a proud Bahamian currently residing in the US and let me tell you this place has it share of rapists, thieves, racists, and hustlers. Yet I am still able to recognize that that is by no means an indictment on the entire nation. Perhaps u should make the choice to get the fuck out.
