I have my DHD from november and still is performing brillaintly. I am even able to use sense 3.0 which is available on HTC Sensation, I have the same background, lockscreen, weather and everything. HTC is just superb. Best 485€ ever spent. I will never regret it.

HTC Sense is the best thing ever created, specially when it comes widgets and them being transparent. I am running about 6 to 8 widgets concurrently, and people cant believe that its live and constantly updated, not including all the other apps running in background. Iphone is gay, can't do anything; my n95 did more than current iphone does. thats a shame.

Is a ten-second boot fast?? I thought all phones started AT LEAST that fast, and some faster. I mean, how much is needed to load into the RAM, when some phones have less that 256MB ram, and still have enough?

@BrokenBjartur it's really good for a smartphone. feature phones start up really fast because there is almost nothing that they have to actually load. Once you add in a full operating system, it needs a bit of time to boot just like any pc would.

My first HTC phone back in the early days was HTC P3300 after that i got the HTC Touch Cruise. Very Nice phones only Windows mobile 6.x sucks. I hope windows phone 7 will make up to that. Thank God Google made Android. My 1st. Android phone was the HTC Hero and i loved it only it took a long time for Eclair 2.1 firmware to come out on it. My current android phone is the HTC Desire and I'm very and i mean very happy with HTC. I rather buy an HTC phone then from other competitors. I LOVE HTC !!!

Anyone other than me feels that HTC put effort in the little things that just very practical to have? They put things that (probably) actually works, especially the ringing part.

They actually studied how human used phones, instead of complaining user holding the phone wrong. They make what counts, counts, not brag about a feature even my 3 year old Nokia has, and make a fuss over it like they made it and it's the biggest thing since sliced bread.

I've fooled around with both iPhone and Android devices (mainly Hero and Desire) and the HTC Desire HD is probably the first non-US Android phone I'd say has the polish, class and features that matches (and in some cases, succeeds) the iPhone.

A truly first-class Android phone with first-class polish? Damn. Just waiting for it to hit Aus. My previous phone plan ran out and was planning to upgrade to iPhone 4, now I'd have to give the Desire HD some serious consideration.

I missed the delayed appointment because I could not snooze the calendar reminder for 8 hours on my HTC. Variable snooze time for calendar appointments is something HTC has removed from Windows Mobile because no one at HTC uses the Outlook calendar snooze function. Google Calendar is so basic it does not even know what variable snooze time is. HTC quietly messing up! When your tied from travelling on delayed flights and have to change plans variable snooze of appointment time is must.

When the calendar reminder comes up again after the snooze period I can snooze it again to the next estimated time I need to be reminded again or dismiss it if I have completed the appointment.

Then I can snooze the next appointments as they come depending on the estimated time. I may catch up or go the opposite and have to snooze some appointments until next week or next day etc. There is a registry hack on HTC HD2 which removes HTC’s SNOOZE BLOCK! on WM 6.5 calendar. Edit the registry:
