  • i got a supercharged mustang gt running 428 rwhp and race vettes all the time i win alot i lose some but i dont pull of like i have 25 nitro bottles in the back def wasnt trying if any at all but nice car love the look

  • Nice job! Fuck that C6!

  • ford aftermarket vs chevy stock. what a pussie. try a ls2 with cam. mustang aint shit. plus superchargers sound really annoying.

  • @1911harbinger you sound really annoying

  • DUDE THE VETTE WASNT EVEN RUNNING..ALL HE DID WAS SAID WAZUP LOL..AND YOU ROAD OFF..

  • Vette didn't try hard enough, but iv pulled from LS2's with my 02 GT that pushes just above 420. It's the new vettes and stangs you have to watch out for now...

  • No way you would pull that hard on it. Whats your numbers to the wheel?

  • @MrDjDstyles 376rwhp 427rwtq; that's more than plenty to pull a LS2 vette. haters gonna hate

  • @spdfrkRACING a 6.0 ls2 produces 400hp and 341.8RWHP weighing 3179lbs a mustang gt weighs 3379and if yours is makin 376rwhp that would only be 34.2 hp difference so theres no way you could pull that hard. The guy in the vette wasnt even trying.

  • @revn57chevy Weight doesn't matter as much at higher speeds, and you're also forgetting one crucial variable - torque. At 427rwtq, my car dominates a LS2 vette in the torque department. Carroll Shelby once said, "Horsepower sells cars, but torque wins races."

  • My bone stock run would spank that vette!

  • Was the van also in the race? Looks like the Vette and van are toe-to-toe. SOmething fishy is going on here, maybe the van have a Buggati engine on it :)

  • The corvette didn't try.... Either that or the van riding beside it was freakishly fast. Fail...

  • The c6 would have easily won, but I guess u fooled some on here. Like someone else said. "Nice car, but keep dreaming."

  • @cindy020408 a supercharged mustang pulling a corvette (especially just an ls2) is not unheard of at all. a supercharged mustang pulling a lambo is not unheard of. but whatever floats your boat.. just watch out for those supercharged stangs at stop lights... instead of racing one, just say "oh I'd love to race you and put bus lengths on you, but I'm breaking in my clutch"

  • Spdfkracing, your too funny man nice mustang tho, Just keep dreaming son!! Ford needs to lose about 800- 1000 lbs to keep up with these light weight vettes. Why cant ford do something about this!!

  • @sscubasimon In a time where people demand luxury even in a muscle car because they paid a big price tag, weight suffers. Really the only way Ford could lighten up the mustangs is if they went to carbon fiber body panels, which would jack the price way up. Sure, there's little things like an aluminum driveshaft and aluminum block that will help, but ultimately, the car is still going to be close to 2 tons with those 4 seats. However, the 99-04 mustangs only weigh 100-300 lbs than the vettes.

  • @sscubasimon it's the new ones that get close to 2 tons!

  • @sscubasimon you're shitting me right? Maybe someone should do some research before talking. An 02 Mustang GT weighs right around, or less than an LS2 Vette, slap a Kenne Bell at 9 PSI and supporting mods/boltons and it'll easily run around or over 500Horses. The new 5.0's weigh around 3600lbs and still keep up with LS2 and LS3 Vettes with no problem...

  • @admiraljimmy No jimmy im not, your right it weighs 3,300 lbs but you dont own an ls3 with it lightly moded like i do! still with 9lbs with bolt ons would be close. Son... iv raced and beat the 03 terminator with the 2.2 kb and RAPED the new 5.0!!!! So shut up, about it being close! Keep dreamin tho:)

  • @sscubasimon No bud you're absolutely right I don't own a vette, there's no practical use for me owning a vette. However I've driven and LT1, an LS1, an LS2, and, working for Hertz, I constantly drive ZHZ's with LS3's. So I know what they're capable of. I've seen a stock 5.0 with factory 3.73's and slicks run a 12.7, which is just as fast as an LS3 vette, and the new Boss 302 is capable of running 12 flat bone stock. I see vettes smoke stangs at the track and vice versa, they're not perfect cars

  • @admiraljimmy Zhz Suck! They def did something to those things. I almost didnt get one cause of it, Thank god for my god old pal who had a real ls3 stock! lol Im just saying if you slightly mod these ls3 they become a monster. I dont look for races, they always seem like they can take this thing. Like this young guy with the 03 cobra thought he would eat this car. I showed him pretty fast what ls3 can do. Arodynamics plays a major factor. Its hard to beat .26 drag when stangs are like a sail!!

  • @sscubasimon Yeah they beefed up the suspension on the ZHZ's and removed the traction control option, you have to take the fuse out under the hood to turn it off, but they'll still hit 60 in 4 1/2 seconds and run high 12's. Yeah i'm not sure what the wind drag on the new stangs are but for my year i think it's about .38 or so, which isn't bad, but it's nowhere near corvette good, corvettes are an entirely different type of car though.

  • @sscubasimon Because they dont give a shit... Ford is too busy destroying the new camaro with the 5.0 ;) But dont worry, im sure they will have a plan for the years to comme... After all, they sold the most cars it has been 3 years in a row.

  • did you see the front end of that vette come up? he gave it all he had! haha nice car man

  • Impressive

  • not trying to be a dick and sound like a hater..first of all, CLEAN ASS MUSTANG...but when you look through the back window at the vette..he is staying side by side with a mini van....did he get on it the whole way? if he did, damn!! That is one fast mini van.

  • @Alshaytan666 haha thanks for the compliments! And no he wasn't full throttle the whole way. Once I put a car length on him he completely let off.

  • @spdfrkRACING i am sure that car length would have grown to two car lengths, then three.. and so on :-) nice car brotha!

  • LMAO! I bought a 02 GT for $2,500 and put a $5,000 kenne bell 2.1L on it and got 450hp (with other minor mods) to the rear wheels, I would have to spend 80 grand for a z06 to get the same thrill, no thanks, I bought a Harley instead! I love my kenne bell blown GT!

  • How much power is the kb mustang making?

  • @troycruse my 02 GT made 410rwhp and 427rwtq on a conservative tune!

  • i have an 03 zo6 50th ls6 the c5s had ls2, zo6 used the ls2 block different cam and heads to produce 405 hp 400 ft/lb.i also have a procharger setup on it it made it a little more fun...and thats true about not needing the same mods if youre just racing for the thrill of it...but for a wager we would make sure these cars are pretty much even, then it comes down to reaction time and shift proficiency.

  • the C6 corvette is a LS7 and yeah you might pull away first but not for long. but if your going to brag just go up against the ZR1 thats super charged just like you :) no balls p.s. they run stock high 10's

  • @72ChevelleJosh The earlier C6s had the LS2; the current base models are now equipped with the LS3. The LS7 has been in the Z06 since 2006, and the LS9 is what is under the hood of the ZR1. I love Corvettes, and I know I'd get my ass kicked by a ZR1 in this GT. However, I don't think cars need to get their power from the same source for it to be a good race. In this case, the vette had cubes, I had boost!

  • @spdfrkRACING thank you for posting that. im glad im not the only one who looks at it like this. people just need to enjoy sports cars all around, even ricers (respectable ricers anyways) lol :)

  • @spdfrkRACING Pretty sure it would only take a C6Z to leave you exits back. Even an LS3 C6 would run away...

  • @btow1105 I don't doubt that a Z06 would've taken me. I bet an LS3 would've been dead even.. people really don't give mustangs the credit they deserve. I've owned both GM and Ford cars, loved them all. But with the right mods, a V8 mustang can embarrass lots of expensive performance cars, including corvettes.

  • @72ChevelleJosh the zr1??? why not put it against the cobra jet that would be the fair match, tryin to get a gt mustang to race a zr1 come on now

  • A cobra way easier to upgrade just adding pillows exhaust and intake can get u up 500hp on stock supercharger now if u wana go all out I'll go wit a whipple

  • @2812587 a zr1 can get 151 hp from simple bolt ons and a tune, watch this video

    watch?v=PanOD_0rIqE

  • Not at all saying that the GT couldn't beat the LS2 Vette, but it did look like the Vette got into it then let off when he realized this was not a stock Mustang. He looked like an old bastard with alot to lose for getting caught racing. Only my opinion, still bad-ass Stang, no doubt.

  • Good runs, not trying to be a #$%# but...I would of expected a little more from the stang judging from your test runs...you took a while to get through the RPM's... I ran a 99 GT Vortec S/C and H/C package that pulled alot harder... I still beat him by a car length in quarter. I have a 02 TA 450rwhp.FYI I usually walk LS2 C6 pretty hard have not ran an LS3 yet.

  • @ws6red2002ta haha no it's cool. I'm on stock heads and cams, so the vortec you ran was probably putting down more power than me. Yeah LS3s are entirely different animals than LS2s. I made a 410+rwhp and 427rwtq with this setup.

  • why does every mustang owner post videos of them passing a car and saying they beat them? Just don't see the point...waste of time.

  • I have a 00 Mustang GT with the KB 2.1L@ 9 psi and I can personally vouch for this kinda outcome. Ive personally beat up LS1-2-3 vettes. Ive raced many GTO's, Vette's, and Camaros/Trans Ams and will tell you the KB cars pull away from the LS motors. Its not an absolute raping tha some people try to lead on but you do pull away. The Vettes do begin to reel you in when aerodynamics make more of a difference but its still a good matchup. It makes for a good sleeper and good street fun.

  • Lol....next time tell the Vette your racing. Looks like he got on it for 1 sec and let off. I guarantee a stock C6 LS2 Z51 6-speed would take your mustang, easily.

  • @callmeDoctorSteve Not the LS2 sorry mate. The LS3 would be a damn good run, and he'd probably walk me, but those LS2s are mid 12 second cars.. an easy takedown for a KB GT.

  • The song was better than the video

  • @callmeDoctorSteve i dont understand why corvette owners seem to let off the throttle when a mustang starts to pull away from them .this just happend to me a few days ago, we take off , i start to pull and the corvette slows down!! i dont belive they want to tell someone there $50.000 dollar car got bet by a 11 year old mustang. the guy thought he was tough with the demeaning look he was handing out till i fkn smoked him. what a joke, i like the car but some owners think there shit doesnt stink

  • I have the same KB on my 01 GT, you are absolutely right a stock C6 vet would beat his Mustang. . . as long as he sprayed a 150 shot of NOS. I’ve raced plenty of Vettes, C5s are a joke. Raced one last week in my 03 Mach 1 & walked away. He gave up at 110 and he was pushing 9psi. My Mach up against a C6 and I pull on him till 60mph but he will catch me after that. Raced the same Vette later in my (7psi)KB GT, it’s not even close, (like a C5 racing a Toyota Corolla) I smoked him all 3 times.

  • Funny how the vette never went much faster then the car next to him. If you watch the video it's very clear that the vette didnt know it was a race.

  • Too bad the Corvette didn't know you were racing. I guess Mustangs win a lot of races that way.

  • @kb9gkc is that why you can clearly see his front end lift first before you can hear full throttle in the GT? geez.. people these days.. everything needs to be so organized. this was an unplanned run in.. yeah it was a very short race, he let off at the top of third.. but nevertheless, he tried.

  • @kb9gkc listen very carefully. There you can hear the motor from the vette.

  • @acekazel Watch the end of the video, the vette was only going slightly faster than the truck in the right lane. Sure I saw the vette front end lift at the beginning, then he obviously let off the gas.

  • @kb9gkc Of course he didn't hold it to the floor. Im not saying the vette was all our racing. But he did stomp on it for a few seconds. Thats all im saying.

  • @acekazel That's exactly what I've been saying. I walked him in 3rd gear, then he let off.

  • @spdfrkRACING For once i would like to see someone who talks trash actually know what they are talking about. Because they just look like fools lol =D. But nobody listens to us who acutally know whats going on and pay attention.

  • is that the 2.1 intercooled kit? sounds great man... hows the stang holding up? you have the stock bottom end? I have a mach and interested in your kit.. good to see a vid like this... i know your stang has a lower compression motor which is more ideal than a higher compression like the mach.. anyway, best of luck with your build

  • @Rumplemenz yup! It's the intercooled kit. The car held up really well.. and it was a lot of fun while I had it. I recently purchased an 03 Cobra, so the GT is for sale, but yeah it's a great car. You can still run great numbers despite high compression.. don't be afraid to add a little boost in there :)

  • @spdfrkRACING which car do you like more? the cobra or the gt kb? im looking to buy a 2002 GT and possibly get the kb 2.1 kit and was just wondering which is the better deal, the cobra or gt kb

  • @iandude454 I love them both... however, the reason I prefer owning the GT over the cobra is because I don't feel like I have to worry about it when I park somewhere or worry about putting miles on it. I find myself being very anxious when I leave the cobra around somewhere (maybe because I worry about the SB paint) and I always feel guilty when I put miles on it. Owning one or the other is absolutely awesome... and if you build the GT up to handle all that power, it'll probably be the same as

  • @iandude454 the price of a cobra outright. So basically, if you want to have a sleeper and build up your car, the GT is the way to go. If you want a car that's already prepped for the onslaught of power that you may want to introduce, the cobra is probably a better option. However, after you build the GT with the s/c, heads/cams, you will push more power that what a cobra would probably have at the price it took to build it. Most cobras only have exhaust mods for ~18k: the cost of a GT + mods

  • @iandude454 Go for the GT. alot cheaper to mod then a Cobra and weighs 300lbs less. Don't make the same mistake I did when going with forced induction. The 2.1KB is fine if you are just looking for a little more power out of a stock GT but don’t plan on doing anything else. That superchargers limit on pump gas is around 530rwhp and the 2.6KB is around 650rwhp. The 2.1KB Max psi is 15 (if you change to a 8.25" crank pully) after that you need a bigger supercharger.

  • @iandude454 I bought the 2.1 kit just to find out half the stuff that came with it wouldn’t work because I had cams, intake and exhaust already on the car. Had to get 60lb injectors, fuel pump ect. Total cost to make the kit work was over $6500. It blew my motor before I could figure out why it wasn’t running right. Power was 445rwhp with 7psi (measured at the intake manifold). For $6000 the guy who tuned my car would have built me a custom twin turbo kit that would have made 200 more rwhp

  • If your set on getting a KB and you would like to make more than 530rwhp get the 2.6 You will still need to buy a new Pump, Mass Air (Would recommend a SCT), Injectors, tune ect. But if you get the 2.1 and do any additional mods to the car you are going to have to replace all that stuff anyway. Gt MAF is good to 350rwhp, 90mm lightning is good to around 450rwhp. There are ways to cheat them but will cost as much as a good SCT MAF. Airtecks makes a Pump that flows 330lph, Get it at Oreilly's $150

  • i want the KB for my mustang. can you tell me the pros and cons to it? boost? and perhaps a 0-60 time that i can expect by just bolting it on with a tune?

  • @FordsBetter516 Absolutely. Pros: makes the 2V 4.6L a freaking monster.. that motor loves boost and it makes the car much more driveable in any gear. For example.. you're coming up on a yellow light, you're going 50mph in 5th gear, with the KB, you don't need to downshift to make that light before it hits red.. just tap the gas! Cons: I blew my motor on the KB. Most stock motors can handle the boost.. but some can't.. I guess I was just unlucky with my pistons.

  • @FordsBetter516 I was running 9psi, which is really the most you'd want to push the stock internals to. You could grab 60mph in somewhere around 4 seconds flat, maybe even a 3.9 with MT drag radials and damn good driving.

  • @spdfrkRACING (1) wow! so bascally, i could run with stock cobras at 9psi? does it pull like a cobra would in at higher speeds? and thats a shame you blew your motor on it. i wouldnt be really hard on it all the time because knowing my luck, id get a bad set of pistons too. people keep telling me that KB suck, but i think they are just mad they dont have a mustang with a KB on it, or that they know someone who ran like 12 psi on a stock engine and blew it..isiots.

  • @FordsBetter516 (1) Oh absolutely hands down.. KB is the way to go for a 2V. I considered procharger for mine too, but KB is so much more rare, and you can't beat the almost instant massive torque band. When I had my 2.1L KB on my GT, my friend's cobra with full exhaust and an intake was neck and neck with me.. same boost pressure! The install is more challenging than the other blowers on the market, but in my opinion, very worth it!

  • @spdfrkRACING i just dont think i could install. im onyl 17 and have only done simple mods to my car...flowmasters and AEM intake. i want to do other things to my car first though.

  • @spdfrkRACING (2) but ive done my research and KB seems the way to go. they have so much potential. just look at the cobras!

  • IM A FORD FAN AND HAVE OWNED MANY OF MUSTANGS.ME PLUS MY FRIENDS HAVE OWNED OVER 100 MUSTANGS FROM 86-05. IM GOIN TO TELL YOU THAT NO KENNE BELL ON A STOCK MUSTNG GT WILL PULL A LS3 VETTE THAT BAD,THE GUY WASNT TRYIN.YOUR CARS HOULD RUN MID 12S AND THE VETTE IS CAPABLE OF LOW 12'S . BUILD THE 2 VALVE AND DO THE BELL AND THEN IT WILL BE NASTY! MY FRIEND HAD A 03 GT WITH PATRIOT HEADS,CAMS AND INTAKE ON DRAG RADIALS IT WENT 12.40S ALL DAY AND LOOKED STOCK! LOL

  • @BLACKLACDTS whoa gotta love caps. It was an LS2, which the KB could easily pull. Not only that, but I could easily hit high 11s with the KB set up on my GT... that car was making gobs of power.

  • @spdfrkRACING i know whats what and if your car is bone stock with a kenne bell you will not hit 11's. if there is supporting mods(cams, gears, clutch, headers, exhaust and intake) it would be no problem to hit 11's. im sorry about the caps lol and i also knew it was a ls2 but i watching 2010 camaro ss videos and had ls3 on the mind.

  • @BLACKLACDTS That thing had more than the KB.. she had longtube headers, 3" catback, short-throw shifter, wider rear tires, and an aggressive tune. It was a very capable set-up.. 11s could've been had! No worries about the caps though =)

  • @spdfrkRACING you maybe could tickle the 11s but not for long before you have to build the bottom end. and i would have to see it run 11s too.

  • i have a mystic cobra that would walk over any zr1 or callaway vette.. although id rather own a vette...

  • @dermatis02kb I just bought an 03 sonic blue cobra, and I could've sprung for a C6... I just didn't want to support a government bailed out company. I love Corvettes, they're great cars, and this video isn't to prove otherwise. It's simply a demonstration on how the KB really wakes up the 2V engine.

  • vette wasnt even racing you douche.

shit i would take any vette over a over rated stang . they are junk

  • @shjesus oh ok. I wanna be like you some day.. you know you've made it when you buy a silverado.

  • @apolloZR1 i have a mystic cobra that will walk over any zr1 callaway or w/e..although id rather own a vette lol

  • Did the corvette try hard?

  • @30aught6F150 sure did! check out the lift on his front end right before I gun it. he left off after 3rd gear, but by that time I had a car length on him.
