She doesn't REALLY follows the score, although it is free, but she just fooling around with it, something that she shouldn't do. Not impressive at all. Hopefully a good performer will post a great performance. This is mediocre at its best.
Really great. The projections of the score are awesome, and really enhanced my appreciation of the piece. As someone commented earlier, no, they don't write them like that any more. What once occurred as wild and shocking, now seems sweet and expressive. What would really make a difference for me is if this singer would take on being with the audience as commitedly as she is being with the score. I felt a little cheated, like she was withholding something from me, singing for herself.
WOW! I haven't heard this since I did my GCSE music course! My teacher Mrs Linford played it to me and I thought it was the most amazing things I'd ever heard. So weird and original! Love it! Thanks ever so much for posting this. It has brightened up my whole day.
Please thank your sister from me for the performance of "Stripsody" I saw on Youtube. I was amazed how much I could remember of the thing after hearing/seeing/experiencing it 34 years ago.
It seems to be stored away in my brain in the little boxes marked with the word "memorable music"

Ideas stolen from Cage, Berio trying to be avant garde, and failing miserably.

This is a really brilliant piece of music. It's really impressive when she (as Cathy did) passes from that Traviata's aria to Beatles Ticket to Ride.

I saw this performed 34 years ago and I was surprised that could still remember bits of it. The radio tuning bit and the cartoon bits near the end.
At the performance I saw there was a lady sat at the side of the stage unpeeling bananas, then reassembling them by sowing a zip(per) into them.
I remember a lot of people wandering round the stage saying "Andante Cantabile."
I wonder if these were Berberian pieces too.
They don't write them like that any more... :)

ok, not stupid, I trust you...but unsensitive, be sure, you are, if you don't feel the big energy, the strong vitality of this voice!
