  • No, this music is sure proof that there are talented musicians. God has bugger all to do with it.

  • Wow it was all going grand till the end and all that religious stuff, I never knew jesus was a piper.

  • Ar fheabus ar fad, Go raibh míle maith agat

  • I think this music is great, but please, respect each one. If someone wants to put some religious images in his own video, he can do it. If somebody thinks or believe something different, that's ok, but respect. Also, we can't forget that the Christianism is an important part of the beautiful Irish culture, just know the meaning that the colours of the Irish flag have. I'm not Irish, but I love Ireland.

  • I don't care about y'all's religious debating (and frankly you all need to get lives) but this music is sure proof there is a God. It's so beautiful!

  • why on earth do some people think it's fine to hurl abusive remarks and indulge nasty personal arguments on YouTube? Grow up and join in a civilised dialogue; if you don't agree with somebody else's opinion, just explain why in a graceful manner; you don't need to insult them. Lovely piece of music, by the way, or perhaps you weren't really listening!

  • What spoils this posting is not the video, and certainly not the wonderful music; it is the bigotry of the comments. People are very disillusioned with the Catholic church today, but it is , for good kor ioll, part of our landscape. Are you too bitter and small minded to enjoy beauty, whatever its source?

  • Thank God he made me atheist ! ;)

  • Don't know what the Jesus images at the end were about...completely at odds with the rest of the video....even if Ireland was Christian. Also the tune is completely at odds with any sort of evangelicalism as it celebrates the little people.

  • @Pixatron well God is about the little people, even though the church isn't always on board :P

  • I'm not a christian myself but there's no doubt that during the Dark Ages Ireland was the fortress, bastion and crucible of European Christianity.

Never heard of round towers? The Book of Kells? St Brendan?

Did you know for instance that the Swiss Patron Saint is...Irish.

This lad should get a bit of education before mouthing off.

  • Chrisy Moore has spoken many times about his abhorrence of the way religion has been slammed down Irish throats by for the most part sadistic perverts and I can tell you as a fact he'd not be happy to see his talent associated with those images. That is why I refer to what you did as crap! But then again you are most likely not Irish I suspect American and as such used to this type of behavior. Keep your evangelistic shit out of my country's music and scenery. You do not have the right!

  • @bipper48 Christy did not write this song its O Carolan song and yes i am Irish more Irish than you will ever be ,i know where i came from ,maybe your shamed of your heritage but i am not ,also what would it matter to you if i was from America or if i was an evangelist ,The irish are not generally known to be racist but you seem to have some issues there so who are you to criticize, five thousand plus views one complaint. O Carolan did not copywrite this song obviously so i have every right...

  • @bipper48 Whatever people now may think opf it, the Catholic Church has left ban indellible mark on Irish culture. Much of this dates from penal time, when it gave the ordinary people much needed comfort and support. Agreed it became corrupted with power from the mid-19th century on, but no need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Also no need to corrupt the airwaves with bigoted bitterness. Beautiful music and scenery are none the worse for a whiff of incense!

  • @Horsemarine100 It was always and still is corrupt.

  • @pookijman Of course, but so is humanity. Youmment illustrates my point!

  • @bipper48 who the fuck are you.?

    You know Christy Moore personally?

No I thought not...asshole,so shut the fuck up you wannabe Irish but cant speak Gaelic.

You will never be Irish ,only a poor English language version of an Irish leprachaun .

Keep the English language and its bullshite out of my country.

Now fuck off and emigrate you little D4 cunt.

  • @bipper48 Firstly this song was written around 1700 when almost all on the island of ireland were christians, in case you had not known that, i dont mean to offend anyone i just liked the song and video and put it on my page ,i also see by your removed comment that you refer to this as crap ,you dont have to play it ever again, thats your choice but maybe you should keep your opinions about non belief to yourself....
