You forgot to mention your high school gives it to you as well. I'm a Junior and took mine 2 days before my b-day on Jan. 27th. It's not too hard, but definitely not as much time as I was hoping for. I had 11 minutes to do 25 math problems and under that stress, my mind went blank.

It's something worth spending at least an hour or two every 4 days to prepare for. I waited since Sophomore year(missed the deadline that year), so I studied quite a lot and can't wait to get my scores back.

I took the asvab twice and failed it. i took it once with the army in july and the second time last week with the Marines and Im staying with the Marines if i pass it. ill be able to take it again on the 24th of december. now for what ever reason that if i fail this one again and might have to wait six months and i don't want that. so if i just change braches would i be able to take the asvab again because of the branch change or will i still have to wait that 6 months no matter what ???

Umm Im not sure. The branch change might be an issue as far as jobs go but it shouldn't affect your asvabN but I'm nit certain if that's correct. You might wanna verify with your recruiter or someone who knows alot more about than me. Like someone in thr military.

lol....i did the same shit....branch hopin.. first off the recruiters wont take you serious if you do that..so if i were you just choose a branch that you're serious about and on top of that no matter what branch the asvab testing guidelines still stand.... 6 months at a time you have to wait after the 3 time..but don't stress out...take it and pass it homie... no stress at all

just took a practice online with 200 questions. it dont tell you your overall test score but i total it up and got a 45 in all sections. but if you just use MATH and READING parts i scored a 64 should i study alil more or just retest?

that sucks man i got a 23 on mine nd i felt real confident to i was looking thught the test and saw where i went wrong so im just bruishing up and some basic math the percents kinda killed me mostly i should be retaking my test in less then 2 weeks so im going all out with the studying and what not. the test is not hard but its just the timer tht really messes you up so you only got maybe 30 seconds to answer each question on the math stuff are you going to retake it anytime soon ?

i got a 73 im pretty disappointed with my score but i agree it was pretty easy. i just had no knowledge of mechanics or electrical stuff.

That's a good score and nothing to ne disappointed about. Your options for jobs are abundant. Moat people don't score very well so you should be happy youngot such a high score. But a 73 is not bad at all.

Are you allowed to use a calculator on the ASVAB and does it give you measurements and formulas like on the SAT or ACT ?

but if you have a low AFQT you aint gonna get a good job. my recruiter told me that the first five parts of the test are the most important. the other sections just tells what you can learn.

your AFQT, which is your overall score, just tells you whether you qualify or military service..

for example, if you have a 98 mm, you cant be a mechanic because you need a 102... and soon....
