I dont undersetand most of the people posting here. I would like to see all the veterans come home in one piece. And for those who havent, id like to take a huge chunk of that trillion dollar bailout and give it to them.

i feed homeless vets, these poor broken men, most ,....feeling very ashamed and racked with emotional guilt ......sometimes tell me stories of what they witnessed and participated in. i only commented, ..... for the shock value so people might investigate what is really going on in iraq..... when thinking of enlisting.

My hubby is a United States Marine and I couldn't be more proud of him for what he does for this country and some of the most ungrateful people. We have a 5 month old daughter and although he is missing out on her life... someone has to do his job. If no one joined the military there would be a draft and NO ONE would be able to say no to going off to war. Be thankful and put a damn smile on your face that YOU aren't being FORCED to fight for your country. At least these men & women volunteer.

@8989dsmith It's not WW2 sonny. This war is basically a big hide-and-seek of finding the "weapons of mass destruction"...if they existed. Seeing as its NOT a life or death situation, I personally think its incredibly selfish to be in a job where you are missing from 90% of your childrens lives and could end up dead at any time. Grad School around 50k a year). There are hundreds of jobs in the military where youre life is not risked and where you sit behind a desk all day, cook food for soldiers, etc.You can switch MOS (jobs) within the military many times.Jus sayin
