Svetlana Zakharova in Don Q - Kitri variation (NEW!)

I don't hate her body, neither her dance...i actually think she is a great dancer, but somehow i see her more in plays like The Bayadere or Swan Lake, perhaps Giselle, she is more...dramatic, i don't see ker as Kitri, her grace and elegance i think, are made for other type of energy.

That doesn't mean she is a bad dancer...there are just some roles that are made for some dancers and others that don't fit well to them. She is just another type of dancer...a modern type, she is controversial.

i have to agree that zakharova is an extremely talented dancer esp. as kitri, but i have to say sylvie guillem just tops zakharova. no one can ever replicate guillem's speed or precision in this variation.

Zakharova doesn't send me any emotions... Not many, at least. I prefer a lot of other dancers, like Osipova.

when i see zakharova dancing, that my eyes dont want to stop looking at her.

all her facial expression, emotion, movement... are all very perfect.

she is a dancer that nobody dont like. coz shes really amazing!!!

That was kind of...rude. I think that different dancers just do it for different people. Ospiova might be your Kitri, but Svetlana Zakharova is mine. There's nothing wrong with that.

Perhaps I was being rude. But admittedly, saneedblozio stated that more or less everyone liked Zakharova, although I don't. I have a habit of taking things offensively.

I see where you are coming from. Zakharova is personally one of my favorite dancers, but I know that there are plenty of people out there that don't care for her too much.

i think the reason that somebody dont like zakharova is becoz of her body (which is said that she is too skinny), but not becoz of her dance. i always wonder why those person do not care much about her dance but her body!

I don't like Zakharova, but not because of her body and not because of her dance. I just don't like her style and way she shows emotion during dance. But it's nothing wrong with that, I think there's no dancer who is just liked by everybody. And it's good that there are a lot of dancers and everyone could find dancers he likes.
