yeah, but even so, holding the stick that far back isn't so bad for all that backbeat stuff, dave weckl even says so in his dvd's. it gives a nice, consistent backbeat with a nice throw and rim shot. but that being said, i HATE holding the stick that far back! so much wasted energy.....
