  • how did it get in your boat?

  • ahaha the balls on this kid!

  • ahaha the balls on this kid!

  • i wana go snake hunting with u..ur fun!

  • By the way not to say your wrong or anything but a cottonmouth is very calm consedering the fact that it all depends not on the specie but the snake itself they range from very good temper to a very bad temper like all snakes. Keep doing what your doing man we need more people like you on or side the side that doesn't kill the snakes but helps people understand them rather than fear them. :)

  • nice video man, i grew up on the pineys and the gasconade, remember being taught how to tell the difference between the water snakes and the cottonmouths, lots of cottonmouths in spring creek ,dont know if u know where that is

  • over here in jersey we have a LOT of water moccasins, but i usually spot them in standing waters like non-current lakes and ponds, as in no lakes or ponds with rivers and streams diverging

  • ARKANSAS ???? Big Piney Creek ??? in 20 yrs of swim'n & float'n Big Piney i have only seen 1 CM on the creek & that was in mid to late Aug...so is this ARKANSAS??

  • Great video. The second part of the scientific name is pronounced pisci like the the astrological sign and then vorous like carnivorous. It means fish eater, which you may already know. I pronounced it wrong for years until I took my first herpetology class at my university. They need to have a pronunciation guides in the field guides because it is so hard to try and figure out how to say most of the names with out hearing a professional say it first.

  • I have shot so many of these with my 410 that I have lost count.

  • He's the one facing consequences if he gets bit, not you. Maybe you should be applauding his passion for observing and sharing with us misunderstood wildlife instead of fronting an inquisition.

  • I saw my first ever cottonmouth on the river near Black's Ford. A hillbilly friend, he's all hillbilly too, called the snake in by splashing his hand in the water. He said cottonmouths think it's food in distress. That one was about 30 inches long and had the pit viper head. Cool video!

  • at my uncles we have a ton of cottonmouths.but they arent aggressive. you litteraly have to stomp on them and beat them with a stick before they rear up and get pissed.

  • I'm pleased to see more individuals fond of venomous snakes...instead of chopping their heads off with a shovel. Kudos to you. :)

  • this in arkansas????

  • YOU ARE FNing STUPID!!

  • Yo dude i seen all 39 of your videos the are all friggrn awsome! were do you live dude. im in ny its kinda hard finding snakes here. i really wanna get a copperhead or cotton mouth. i only catch black racers, black rat snakes garter snakes and snapping turtles lol. yo can u give me tips to get the more rare snakes! ty man!

  • those snakes dont play.., one of the more deadly species in the US, there are like the plague where I live,(central Ms) and boy,..those muthas are bad ass, scarry when you dont know their limits

  • Awesome, gotta love the cottonmouths. hey have you been to Snake Road?

  • i got to say i have seen most of the vids and you are pretty prof. about your vids and snake info hell yea good job do you breed reptiles?

  • Have you ever been bite by a venomus snake. Don't worry I am not dissing on you, I just want to know. You have a very impressive amount of understanding and love for snakes.

  • no i haven't, had a couple of close calls when i first started but you just always have to pay attention and know how to react.

  • AND I can tell from this video you dont follow your own advice, YOU looked away from the snake as your holding on to it, to look at the camera as your walking with it MANY times. You really need to step back and examine your methods their buddy.

  • well you know what chief? my advice is mainly for beginners. I'm comfortable enough with these snakes that i can trust myself to look away. besides, what kind of a host never makes eye contact with the camera? YOU need to step off, ya whiney little bitch.

  • @serpentinear86 well if you knew anything about snakes you would know that alot of snake experts make eye contact with the camera while i agree you should never do it but with a cottonmouth it is realtivley calm so i think you need to shut up

  • at 4:06 i can see a little turtle on the left

  • nice video..

  • no offence but i think you are crazy. i dont like snakes, but if you do thats cool

  • Cottons are just neat snakes :) like copperheads i just adoremy lil 2yr old male

  • lol u acually grabed a snake with out knowin if it is venemous????

  • when did this happen?

  • When are new videos comnig dude?

  • prolly not going to have any till next season, but they will be worth the wait. I'm in college now in the middle of the ozarks so I should have some luck out here.

  • Cool dude, what are you majoring/minoring in?

  • wildlife biology so far, i might do something with ecology or environmental studies too. not sure though.

  • That is bad ass man.

    Hope your having fun.

  • The tail wiggle he mentions at 3:15 is called "caudal luring". Also, in summer during breeding season, cottonmouths can be very agressive. The hemotoxins aside, you have about a 50/50 shot at losing the limb that gets bitten simply due to bacterial infection. That is a scary thought. =)

  • Great video. I look forward to more this season.

  • Very educational. Being from Licking and growing up floating the Piney I know these snakes are amazing creatures and actually more inclined to run than fight.

  • Lol, I love how the guy holding the camera whispered asking how to zoom in... Not subtle at all. ;P I like watching your videos. They're very educational. I found a rough earth snake the other day.

  • Are u from missouri,i live in arnold in jeffco,But nice vids

  • yep I am, but im from the st. charles area. thanks though!

  • I'm from Licking, MO and float this exact float many times. I've seen, didn't count but guessing, 30 cottonmouths in 5-6 hours. Alot of people shoot and beat them with boat paddles but I always leave them be. Pretty amazing creatures.

  • cool find what other snakes have you seen along that river or on the banks?

  • you can normally find northern watersnakes by the hundreds down there but I found more cottonmouths that day.theres also a decent chance of spotting midland watersnakes.

  • hey man be carful around copperheads and cotton mouths cause with a rattler u got warning but those guys are mean mothers!

  • no they aren't, they are actually really docile. They flash the mouth but rarly bite.

  • I love how you present those animals in your own way, bringing us info about easch ofthem like they are special. I like you repkyle, I encourage you to keep doing these sorts of videos about our friends who can't speak for themselves!;) thanks*

  • Hey thanks a lot man :)

and I will definitely keep making videos. however I probably wont have very many until next spring or so.
