If one simply expect the tax payer to pay, then why have the collateral in the first place. It is the lender that is responsible to whom he / she is lending, not anyone else.

Ten years ago, I walked away from $30K in credit card debt that was ran up before my divorce. No bankruptcy, just stopped paying the bills. You know what happened? NOTHING! @LordDyhalto I came through the Kilkenny summer festival in 2005 when I was on a big Ireland cycling holiday by myself and I didn't even find a place to stay cause the town so completely crowded and booked out, so I tried sleeping on a park bench, then, after 2 hours of failing to sleep, I headed for Trallee, Ireland's most polluted town, where I arrived on the very next morning. They have a REALLLLY GREAT hostel there! Grand hotel style. Bang-a-rang! Man, how I'd love another holiday like that!

If one simply expect the tax payer to pay, then why have the collateral in the first place. It is the lender that is responsible to whom he / she is lending, not anyone else.

Ten years ago, I walked away from $30K in credit card debt that was ran up before my divorce. No bankruptcy, just stopped paying the bills. You know what happened? NOTHING! Had to ignore a few phone calls and shred some nasty collection notices, but that was it. Flash forward 10yrs, guess what my credit score is today? Last time I checked it was over 750! Max is right. Question is not who he works for, but where is that person or group or ideal taking us and is that future a better or worse one for all included in it. While everyone has there Bias, I do feel that Max does believe in certain things that are essencial for a better future, Justice being one of them; and a more free market system being another.

atleast I try to work for god, and that means lots of things actually, working for god is often, opposing tyranny, promoting and protecting the freedom and dignaty of all people, and standing for justice, and truth where you can.
