Use the 12v charger that uses a normal cigarette lighter power outlet and add a quick adapter to the bike like you did in season one on evil server(or whatever machine it was that Wess installed that thing on).
what if you ran 2 wires out of the battery pack and used a regulator to charge the battery itself? i suppose that may cause problems if you overcharge it, so you could eliminate the battery alltogeather....
The Usb-cable you are using has not enough power you should use more milliampere otherwise it can´t charge and run in normal mode with GPS enabled... Try to charge the Batterie a bit before plugging in the motorcycle usb cable. This should fix this peek time under powering problem.
Ok so after some more fiddling around with my Nuvi 200 (which does the same thing as yours in the video), I figured out a way to get it to work!
When you are at that icon where its connected to the computer, disconnect the USB cable. My GPS goes and reboots. When it says "Loading Maps," plug the USB cable back in. It should bring you back to the main menu.
Following thewisecreator's instructions, I was not able to get to the "USB Switcher" menu option on either my Nuvi 200 or 265w. Whenever I would enter the "test pages" screen and click "Exit", those menu options were still not there.
c133125 is correct i have the same GPS as you Darren and it worked

Tried updating the Nuvi software to the latest version? I don't know if that will work just trying to think of some possible options for you.

This should let you use the GPS and charge at the same time.

to set the "Tools" -> "USB Switcher" from "Mass
Storage over USB" to "Ethernet over USB". Note: the "USB Switcher" icon
does not show up under "Tools" until you first enter and exit "Test Pages"
mode. To enter "Test Pages" mode from the main screen:
- press "View map"
- press "Speed"
- press and hold "mph" for about 8 seconds.
FYI - after entering "Test Pages" mode, two new icons
will show up under "Tools" (until the unit is rebooted) - "USB Switcher" &
"Test".
