... I doubt it, they are British. They are the "do as I say and not as I do" British.
The fact that you believe Tibet has been with China for the last 600 years goes to show the depth of your delusion and the degree of hypnotic brainwashing you've accumulated. It's somewhat sad but not at all surprising. You have to believe what you do in order to feel comfortable with what China is doing to Tibet and the Tibetan people. I understand that. I don't agree with it but I understand the mechanism.
not only are you living a faked life you are also in denial. It does goes hand in hand I supposed.
like many anti-China and anti-Chinese ppl just cannot accept that China is a force for good in Tibet. In fact China is by far the force for good for the world compare to the other superpowers. I bet your brain has shut off already its telling you to OBJECT rather than THINK, that's due to brainwashing, I understand the mechanism too.
1) Your great leader MAO caused death of millions of his own people. He's still revered in China. Even caused the biggest famine in recorded history. This shows the inherent insanity and reflects the deep-seated brainwashing.
Re: Tibet, no I don't feel the invasion and occupation has been good. I guess you believe, that the death of nearly 20% of the Tibetan population has been good for Tibetans. The destruction of over 6,000 monasteries has been good for Tibet.
1) MAO is revered because he fought off the Japanese and the West and held China for the Chinese. China would belong to Chinese and strong as it is without Mao in the first place. Mao did not set out to CAUSED FAMINE! The Chinese themselves bears some blame (as with the Cultural Revolution) but you don't know that!
So what? He's still responsible for the deaths of millions of his own people. He also caused massive famines and many people starved to death. The destruction of 6,000 monasteries in Tibet is by no means a small matter to Tibetans. These were are schools, our universities. The annihilation of ancient artifacts and burning of scriptures may be no big deal to you but to us it's a serious crime. We can forgive but we will not forget.
Tibet culture and Tibet footprint in Tibet has been intentionally dismantled and many of our greatest teachers are dead, in prison or living in exile. Note: several scholars have studied the matter and it has been concluded that the famines cause by MAO were purposely orchestrated and he had a much more insidious intention.
You are an exile Tibetan, in the west, do you still wears Tibetan style clothing? When was the last time you went to a monastery say your prayer to the DL? Can you still speak/read Tibetan?
No no and no I suspect. Then YOU yourself are dismantling your own culture!
"Note: several scholars have studied the matter ...." yer right, you brainwashed twit!
I'm still a Tibetan Buddhist. I am living physically in the West but my heart is in Tibet and I'm only here because if I was in Tibet I likely would not be alive. If I voiced my beliefs or had a Tibetan flag I'd be in prison. My Mother was tortured with a cattle prod and my Father died in a Chinese prison. Please don't devalue or try to reduce what my family has endured and continues to endure even today.
RE: Tibet. The 20% oh thats that 1 Million figure being banded about and the 6000 monasteries.
there are 6 million Tibetan now (the 2000 census actually put it less than that) to make calulation easy. Thats 1 in 6 died! thats nearly 1 in every Tibetan family! If the DL wants to accuse China of mass murder in front of the UN then compiling a list of dead as evidence would be VERY easy. SO WHERE IS THAT LIST????
So what's a reasonable number of monks and nuns and ordinary Tibetans to kill? What works for you? 6,254 monasteries prior to the invasion and only 13 survived in reasonable condition. Even the most sacred were initially turned into slaughterhouses for pigs and others were storage houses for Chinese soldiers. You fail to acknowledge all my other points because the Chinese acts are undeniable.
2) I guess you feel torture and killing have been good for Tibetans. Then in your eyes I suppose the rape, looting and exploitation of Tibet has been good for Tibetans. The looting of the monasteries, stealing of gold, silver and taking of minerals like borax, copper and uranium have all been a force for good for Tibet. The massive deforestation and taking of billions in USD of lumber from Tibet has been good for Tibet.
Re 2) won't and can't answer because its all accusations, you have nothing to bases any of the claims on. 'rape, looting etc taking minerals' how did you know that Tibet did NOT profit from the sales of its minerals? You don't!
Sure, Chinese wont' allow international observers into Tibet nor widespread media, nor investigators or researchers but they demand proof. In addition, I do know. I have friends and family who are there and some who lived through it and others who didn't. I guess the actual people who are experiencing it is not enough proof for you. The minerals and looting is widely known. Many Tibetan artifacts taken to Beijing on flatbed trucks.
tell me then, 20% killed then on average a member of YOUR family should be have been 'murderered' by the Chinese. Or at least you must know someone who was!
Just explained that. My Father died in prison and almost every Tibetan friend I have knows of someone or has someone in their family who died at the hands of the Chinese, either due to invasion, in battle, in labor camps, starvation, torture and even suicide.
What can the UN do? They have no power. What can the international community do? They are in bed with China. China is holding over a trillion dollars in US bonds. By the way, many people all over the world support the Tibetan cause.
rubbish, the US has been funding the DL to destablised China for the last 50 years, if such genocide where true then of all people the US would have highlighted to the world!
That's Chinese paranoia backs by the government. The Americans would not highlight it as they have their own inner guilt having committed genocide against the indigenous peoples of what is now the North American continent. In addition, American still is a Christian based society and cares little for a Buddhist based culture like Tibet.
The people in control are Christian based. Bush is near a born again Christian. That's okay we don't expect any help from him. There are people who are embracing Tibetan Buddhism but we do not seek to convert anyone. The majority of the people have Christian roots but there are many people waking up to the Tibetan cause has a human rights issue and not just a religious issue. Look, if you feel comfortable with supporting the Chinese governments treatment of Tibetans then so be be it.
'embracing Tibetan Buddhism but we do not seek to convert anyone' haha those you can convert are weirdos. Who on earth in this modern society still believes the DL is a recarnated Buddha?! .. BTW do YOU?
No one is suggesting a return to theocratic system, more Chinese bullshit designed to rationalize the invasion and occupation of Tibet. Sorry, it will not work, lessen the atrocities committed against Tibetans nor will Tibetans every forget what has been done and what is being done to our beloved homeland.
ok you agreed that there was a theocratic system. So THAT is not a lie. What about the 10,000 serfs bonded to DL's monastery, (boned labourer to you perhaps but slaves to the rest of the world)?
Again, no one is condoning the old system in Tibet but I will say this, at least we were free and we never experienced a famine. In addition, pointing to the old system to rationalize and justify what China did and is doing in Tibet to Tibetans is of little use and does not make the actions of the Chinese and less horrendous.
I would compare you to animals but I wouldn't want to degrade animals, especially the way they're already treated in many parts of the world, including China, talk about barbaric. There were more slaves in China at the time of the Chinese invasion and more people died of starvation than ever in recorded history, thanks idiot MAO. Just because you don't like someone's system doesn't mean you have the right to take their country. Liars, looters and thieves!
the facts are: the world does not recognize head fucker ex slave master dalai 14. exiled tibetans are the worst retarded people in the world, gone from slave owner to beggers........
The facts are that the Chinese want Tibet for the land, space, resources, and strategic military location. Tibetans are not Chinese and have never considered themselves Chinese. DL is welcomed and recognized all over the world, and supported in his pursuit of peace and freedom for his people. Many don't want to ruffle the Chinese feathers, mostly for economic and political reasons, yet DL is welcomed virtually everywhere in the world except China.
you retarded monk will never be able to return to tibet, the tibetan ex slaves do not welcome you (ex slave masters)' same count for your monkey monk retarded dalai14 !!!!!!
More personal attacks, not a big surprise, all rooted in fear, weakness and inner guilt. In Tibet we today we are more like slaves than we ever were. Oppression, torture, genocide by assimilation, call it what you want, it's still wrong. Keep telling yourself whatever you need to in order to rationalize Chinese invasion, occupation and degradation of Tibet and Tibetan people. That's all you're after, a way to deal with your own complicity.
hi retarded monk, i have met you guys when i visited india. you were wearing sandals and were stinking of body odor very bad. too bad only you fucker cult master gets to take a bath and wear gucci shoes......
if you have the guts come back to china .........
3) The killing off of much of Tibet's wildlife, shooting beautiful swans out of boredom has been good for Tibet. The destruction of ancient artifacts and burning of scriptures has been good for Tibet. The distortion of facts, rewriting of books and teaching these lies to the young Chinese has been good for Tibet and China, at least according to you.
Re 3) 'killing wildlife? shooting beautiful swans out of boredom'? I'm sure you can find the old guy doing that but you are accusing the whole of China for doing that
'distortion of facts, rewriting of books' go on, give me an example!! China is the most grieved party when the Japanese try to rewrite THEIR books accusing China of 'provoking and hence starting WW2' China rewrite theirs??? come on give me an example!
Well there's actual footage of this, even footage of this, do some research. China claims Tibet has always been part of China or at least since the 13th century. All one has to do is look at surviving ancient Tibetan text and even those of the few outsiders who made it into Tibet prior to the invasion and it is clear there were few Chinese in Tibet and Tibet was running all aspects of government. Even signed treaties with other counties and remained neutral during WWII.
Excuse me, Nepal, China, India. DL was not on German side. Tibet being so remote the Tibetans knew little about the war and Henrich Harrer was a mountain climber not an SS officer. You've been indoctrinated with a lot of lies! Even DL was very young when he inherited the leadership of Tibet.
you are saying Henrich Harrer is not an SS brown shirt!!! Then why if you simply 'google' his name you'll get 'SS' popping up everywhere! You are telling me all those articles Chinese and non-Chinese are lies? Your TRUTH about Henrich Harrer has to be very convincing indeed!
What do I even care about HH? I care about and love my country. Is that so hard to understand? Is it so hard to understand that it's painful to watch your culture being spite upon? Pointing to other issues in order to rationalize and justify the invasion and occupation and exploitation of Tibet is a game that Chinese play quite regularly. Unfortunately, it does not lessen anyones complicity nor does it make China's actions in Tibet any less insane!
iamlumin: now that you are in the West you must understand why in the West ppl would be appaud to have a religious leader to head a govnement. Yet why do you think there are ' many', as you claim in the west supports the Dalai Lama claim to Tibet?
No one saying DL should be a governmental leader. Even the DL himself said he would have nothing to do with the government of a free Tibet. A Democratic system was set up for the Tibetan government in exile over 50 years ago and the charter allows for the impeachment on any government official. You've really back indoctrinated with a lot of lies and distortions. Like I said dialogue with a preprogrammed robot is not possible. Good luck with your fixed position.
I'm saying he would help with the transition but there would be a separation of church and state. It's already written in the Tibetan constitution since 1963.
'Tibet being so remote the Tibetans knew little about the war' It was you who say Tibet was neutral during WW2, now you are saying they know little about WW2.
I was talking about the government of Tibet. During World War II, Tibet remained neutral, and it insisted on that neutrality as against China, Great Britain, and the United States. As against China, Tibet refused to permit the construction of a road through Tibet to carry military supplies from British India to China.
4) Wow! You are not only in a fixed state of astounding denial but you actually embrace the very criminals that are directing these activities. I have a news flash for you. Tibetans are not Chinese, never have been and never will be. I know you've been taught differently but it's an absolute and total lie. Take it from someone who's lived it and whose parents and grandparents and great grandparents live it and wrote about it. Tibet belongs to Tibetans, not Chinese.
Okay, that's bogus! Many may seem to be part of China but it is entirely by force. At one time Mongols controlled China, oh, and Tibet also conquered ancient Chinese capital. Should be revert things to that point history. Like I said force only goes so far, China will never own Tibetans or win the hearts and minds of Tibetans because of the atrocities committed against them by China.
5) You can win land at the barrel of a gun but you will never win the hearts and minds of Tibetans nor will you break Tibetan spirit. I don't consider China a superpower, those who act using force, lies, oppression and weapons to get their way are acting out of a deep sense of insecurity, weakness and fear. That's China in a nutshell.
That's absolute nonsense. Some monasteries had up hundreds while others over a thousand. At least one person per family joined the monastery or nunnery. You must be getting these figures from Chinese books. Greater Tibet, real Tibet is much bigger than how Chinese define Tibet.
do the maths! todays population of TIBETAN is 6 million, 50 years ago there are about 1.2 millions.
The nonsense is the figure of 6000!!! BTW (correct me if I'm wrong) there are only 6 SIX monateries in Lhasa which is a major city! where the hell are the other 5994!
Again, you have distorted figures. The other monasteries were scatter across the entire country of Tibet. By the way, this is a well known figure, and rarely disputed. You have a fixed position rooted in altered data and distorted facts. I understand seeing the truth would make you feel wrong so this dialogue will go nowhere.
The 14th Dalai Lama was born in Qinghai, China. When he became the Dalai Lama, the Chinese central government gave 400,000 Yuan for the ceremony. No Tibetans can deny that.
Tibet has been a part of China since the 13th Century, nobody can change this fact.
Tibet is free from their slave owners since 50 years ago. Slave owners are not happy? of course, but they can not change it, only protest.
I hoped you guys who walked in those t-shirts clearly no Tibet is under China. And china is communistic

Good luck with your fixed position.

are you telling me that DL who NOW heads the excile govn would immediately step down if Tibet were to gain independence? Now thats new to me!
saying China is right! then you must be a robot! mmmm who is brainwashed!?

I'm saying he would help with the transition but there would be a separation of church and state. It's already written in the Tibetan constitution since 1963.

'Tibet being so remote the Tibetans knew little about the war' It was you who say Tibet was neutral during WW2, now you are saying they know little about WW2.
qwertyyau 3 years ago

Re: 4) Tibetan is a part of China. Like Manchurian, like some Mongolian, like Cantonese, like Hakka, like Hui etc.
Take it from me, who is part of this, you like or not they are all part of China.
qwertyyau 3 years ago

6000 monasteries in 1950s population of 1.2 million. That gives 200 ppl per monastery. Thats 40 household per monastery!!
In my STREET alone there are 60 houses!
qwertyyau 3 years ago
That's absolute nonsense. Some monasteries had up hundreds while others over a thousand. At least one person per family joined the monastery or nunnery. You must be getting these figures from Chinese books. Greater Tibet, real Tibet is much bigger than how Chinese define Tibet.
iamlumin 3 years ago
do the maths! todays population of TIBETAN is 6 million, 50 years ago there are about 1.2 millions.
The nonsense is the figure of 6000!!! BTW (correct me if I'm wrong) there are only 6 SIX monateries in Lhasa which is a major city! where the hell are the other 5994!
qwertyyau 3 years ago

Stupid protestors know nothing about Tibet.
